Article on men and women playing the opposite gender, and why it doesn't immediately make you a pervert.
I play the other gender usually in 3rd person games so I don't look at "man ass" for 15 hours of gameplay!
God I hate that stupid comment. Why would you be looking at any ass while playing a video game? Not to mention it is a comment used 895437843 times.
Hey, you. Knock it off! You have no right to force this man to admit he desperately wants to be a woman. In time he will come to accept this desire and possibly even act upon it but for now please be a decent human being and humour the rationalisation he has concocted for his virtual transvestism.
i find both of your guys comments juvenile an short sighted. i enjoy playing women characters,i find them wonderful too look at an i respect the female gender. i also enjoy seeing a women in power an watching them overcoming things is fun to me. am sorry that you lust after a female avatar an long only too find women too hound in game, that play female toons. so if their was a option too play a gender neutral character, we be label a freak for not picking a side? TLDR we play games to have fun, not be labeled based on a gender choice in game....
@Shacks Im gonna agree with you, the last thing i'd be looking at if I was playing a dude is his ass.. I would however be looking at his massive biceps, stunning hair do and chiseled jaw line all the while picturing myself as him thinking "so badass..." but hey, that's just me.
I will play 3rd person games with female protagonists because I feel like a guardian angel guiding her actions to keep her safe from the dangers in the male dominated world(s) In all 1st person games I play as a gun or a sword, it really does not matter if the protagonist is a male or female. OK, that is the best excuse I can come up with to justify playing a female in videogames.
I usually play as both because it feels like a different experience and give me a reason to play through the game again. I don't project myself into the game. The way I see it, I'm making a character. When I make a decision, I don't think "What would I do in this situation?". I think " What would this character do?" That's why I find it odd when people assume I secretly wish I was a girl or something.
I usually mix it up. I also play with the creator and see which character models look best and will go with whatever looks badass.
most of the time I tend to stay with what the devs idea of the main character I don't change much if anything guess am boring...
In games where you create your own character, I usually try to create myself, but with the biggest beard possible. However, if I can't create a bearded me as my character, then I will make a hawt chick instead.
