Senior producer Brian Chambers reveals the numerous updates the PC version will have over Xbox One.
"Best looking" is merely subjective. I think wind waker on GameCube is one of the best looking games ever. Technically this might be, and technically wind waker certainly isn't, but its an opinion :)
agree i would add wind waker has the best art/artdirection/graphic direction it's simply not in the realm of photorealism where this and other games battle .
Yeah exactly. Also if we take the outcome of how a game looks, based upon the tech it came from, games like beyond two souls or Tlou are more of an achievement IMO. As a forefront in what's possible though, ryse on PC will likely look insane!
This game has lots of polygons and triangles and whatever not, but it lacks atmosphere/style (look at Bioshock for example).
I don't know why people disagree with you. Technicalities alone do not make a game beautiful, the styling does. That's why Half Life 2 still looks good to me, why Bioshock Infinite looks absolutely fantastic. Take a look at Batman Arkham City, for example. It's not a technical masterpiece, but it's design makes it shine.
I disagreed because I think it had incredible atmosphere. I felt like I was in the middle of Rome with war all around me. Very much a style of that city at that time
But we're not talking about art, we'r talking about the overall detail and realism of a game. Based on the graphics techniques being used in Ryse along with the strong art direction I'd say Ryse on PC will almost certainly be the best looking game for a time.
Subjective to a point, but anyone who says the original Tomb raider looks better than this game is wrong.
Uncharted 4 ;D
What do you think the chances of Uncharted coming to PC is? I think you are commenting on the wrong section.
Yh Uncharted 4 looks absolutely incredible
Uncharted 4 will not be as technically advanced and impressive as Ryse on PC. Fact! Stop dreaming in 900p.
It's not so hard to get a great looking game if it's not an open world game .
Of course it looks great it is a Crytek game, sadly the only thing Crytek does is make good looking games not good games.
To be fair, FarCry and Crysis were both incredible games when they came out.
crysis was decent much like all the other crysis games that have come out .. except crysis warhead
That's ridiculous. Crysis = 91 Crysis Warhead = 84 Crysis 2 = 86 Crysis 3 = 76 All of those metacritic averages represent good to great games. You're entitled to your own personal preference, but the way some of you state your opinion as if it were some kind of incontestable fact is just ignorant and needlessly abrasive. Why not say something like "I personally haven't enjoyed the Crytek games I have played". I saw one of your comments where you were saying how you have loved every Yakuza game. How would you like it if somebody came in and said the Yakuza games all suck? I mean, they would have more of a leg to stand on since the Yakuza games have generally scored well below the Crysis games. I personally like the Yakuza games, too, but if I didn't like them I wouldn't go into an article about them and say how the developers need to learn how to make good games or that all of the Yakuza games are no good. I have enjoyed all of the Crysis games. If you didn't like them, fine, move along. Or leave a comment expressing your personal dislike of the games if you really feel the need to. But don't act like your opinion is some kind of fact.
I really don't care what anyone thinks about games I like I am not that sensitive. Also It shouldn't have to be said if it is my opinion or not . I was the one who wrote the above text so clearly it is my opinion on Crytek and their games . Somewhat similar to how it is your opinion that metacritic means a damn thing . While I think it is worthless, to each his/her own .
No, I'm talking about how you can present your opinion like a civilized human being and not some kind of antagonistic fanboy. And I don't care what you think about metacritic. I don't take metacritic as the gospel truth at all. In fact it really doesn't matter to me in my own judgement of games. I'm merely pointing out that your opinion is in fact in the minority and it makes no sense to try to shove it down other people's throats as if it were a fact. Honestly, what is the point of going into an article and saying something like "these games suck" or "this developer doesn't know how to make games"? Obviously plenty of people do like them. If you want to constructively criticize the games why not write to Crytek and tell them what you think they could do better? I also think it is silly for you to fall back on the whole "I wrote it so it obviously must be my opinion", as if that means it doesn't matter how you present your opinion. If you can't see the difference between something like "I don't like chocolate ice cream" and "chocolate ice cream tastes disgusting" I don't know what to tell you.
Until The Witcher 3 comes out.
It's definetly one of the best looking games so far, along side infamous ss and killzone, driveclub.
The reason is it used to be a xbox one game MS are awesome
I'd have to agree, the game was very pleasing to the eye on the Xbox One, now on PC with even more power to make the graphics even better. I liked the art style and how it looked, however the gameplay was meh after a while, but that's not what the discussion is about. Wish I had a 4K capable monitor and graphics card to check it out first hand.
But can a pc run this pc version though.
The graphics cards are there, so yes, it shouldn't be an issue.
My PC would dry hump this game!
can someone tell me what minimum spec you need for Ryse to have best visuals? are we talking a 7890 +
