Haha you sly dog Abriael. Giving it the same score as FH2. Ah well. The clue is in the name. Each to their own though!

Small typo btw in your conclusion (spelling of consoles): " it’s most certainly one of the most beautiful (if not the most beautiful) game ever released on consoels"

Abriael1164d ago (Edited 1164d ago )

There's nothing "sly" in that. They have the same score because they both offer excellent value on extremely different areas, and both have some flaws in equally different areas. They're pretty much opposites, but they're both extremely enjoyable games.

Sure buddy, maybe its somewhat enjoyable to play but what does driveclub do better or equal to besides gwaphics?

Abriael1164d ago (Edited 1164d ago )

@OOMagnum: it definitely has better handling. I'll go ahead and say that's quite relevant for a racing game.

Not that I expect many to be able to gauge that, mind you (especially some that complain about the lack of rewind :P)

I think 8.5 is a fair score for this game, after playing for a few hours I couldn't believe that it got some 5's and 6's.

OOMagnum1164d ago

I totally disagree with driveclub handling better but to each their own. As far as the rewingd argument thats just stupid. But when you reviewed driveclub did you review it in a vacuum or did you compare it to other racers?

Abriael1164d ago

@OOMagnum: I always review games on their own merits and flaws exclusively. No comparisons.

rainslacker1164d ago

I wish more reviewers would review games on their own merits. I've seen way too much comparison to FH2, which isn't a bad thing, but my rating of it won't be on the basis of FH2 because I don't own an X1.

Anyhow, having watched this game since it's announcement...being a huge racing fan...I always thought it would be in the mid 70-80's. Graphics are awesome, nice effects, and given the devs solid racing(hard to judge from videos), but nothing that truly stands out and sets it apart from other racers.

Nothing wrong with being another average racer, so long as the racing part is solid, which even the low scores says it pretty much does well...which is why I wonder why it gets such a low score since it does racing right

I gotta say i'm surprised it's not 9
DS has been hyping this game for a six months now.

eferreira1164d ago

Gametrailers gave it a 8.5

It is clear as day the Forza Horizon 2 is better than DriveClub yet you still gave both the same score. Sorry but your favoritism for Sony is clearly visible this time.

DanteVFenris6661164d ago

I'll troll your troll comment with another. It's also clear as day that the ps4 is better then the xbone. Nothing is as clear as day. It's an opinion.

FsterThnFTL1164d ago

I totally agree that the PS4 is better than Xbox One.

user3672721164d ago (Edited 1164d ago )

What else is PS4 better than XB1 other than a bit better graphics? The game like Driveclub and Horizon 2 really show the different philosophy of the two brand has one as "amazing graphics" while the other is like a swift army knife. I'll leave it at that?

common sense review. nailed it.
