It’s an age-old gaming question; how much are you willing to put up with when it comes to getting through something?
Ghosts and goblins is so much fun I hardly noticed that it was hard and I died a billion times. Also having great music helps. I don't mind dying lots when the song resets and I can just jam to the beats over again.
i'll save you all the trouble of having to click through 13 different pages to see the entire list. 13. Dark Souls 12. N+ 11. Battletoads 10. Flappy Bird 9. Contra: Hard Ops 8. Trials HD 7. Shovel Knight 6. Rogue Legacy 5. Ninja Gaiden (original Xbox version) 4. Mega Man 3. Super Meat Boy 2. Castlevania II: Simon's Quest 1. 1001 Spikes
Mega Man games aren't actually that tough once you get used to the traps that keep recurring in them. Vets know to "look before you leap" and to incorporate things like knockback into strats. Simon's Quest was just badly translated. The Japanese text did a lot more in explaining things due to the hardware limitations at the time (Zelda 2 was the same way).
you sir, are a gentleman and a scholar
Ninja Gaiden II: The Dark Sword of Chaos is Waaaay more difficult than any of the 3D incarnations. I think I made it to level 5 once ...
This could have been a good and respectable list if they didn't have the word stupidly in it.
Battletoads the thread.
hmm the original US version of Devil My Cry 3 was one of the hardest games I've played in terms of real difficultly . Most people I know didn't play it till the easier special edition.
The list is good but this site should be renamed whatclickfest.com
Rogue Legacy isn't all that hard, really. If I check my steam log, it took me around 15 hours to clear the game twice.
why isn''t I Wanna Be The Guy here
How is shovel knight on that list? These aren't even the most difficult games in the last decade, let alone all of history.
The missions (i forget what their actually called in the game) in soul sacrifice where you had to fight multiple bosses at once were extremely difficult, i think that game should have made this list off of that alone, and as far as the games mentioned rogue legacy wasnt that hard, i find splunkly to be a lot harder
