PS4 Console now available for £295.95 at UK retailer

Dealspwn writes: Best not think about this one too hard, this is the cheapest price I've seen for a PS4 and should be snapped up immediately if you're on the hunt for a new console. I can't see it going much cheaper before Xmas, so this may be a good time to buy if it's on someone's list.

At this rate something tells me Sony might announce potential shortages for December. Anyone wanting that Christmas present should seriously consider jumping on one of these deals.

Yeah, I mean the odd retailer may go a little bit cheaper. But if people are buying as a present, it's best not to gamble by waiting. That said, better value deals will probably appear bundling in a game or two which could save you some extra £££. COD and Driveclub for example.

I know alot of guys still on the fence regarding next gen consoles, will have to let them know about this one.

Now all we need is a sub £300 drop for the x1 as well.

donthate1142d ago

I highly doubt there will be a shortage, but it is telling that prices are dropping on a supposed hot ticket item?

In fact, the supposed hottest console in the market shouldn't need to drop the price, but so far the price has been lowered the fastest I have ever seen for a new console generation.

Price drop on consoles was almost unheard of, and only happened when officially announced by the manufacturer. Now, it is drop, drop, drop and bundle, bundle, bundle and drop some more.

@SniperControl: Wish granted! XO for £289.99.

I'm sure during the holidays they will sell at least a million in a month in the U.S. not even mentioning the rest of the world. I bet they end up at 15 million sold to consumers by the end of the year. They're undoubtedly past 11 million now with how well the Destiny bundle sold.

Now I'm going to play the devil's advocate.

Sony is desperate.
Sony is in trouble.
They just wanna sell the PS4's stacked up.
Wow sales must be horrible for the PS4.
I'm in at 199. That's my magic number.
... etc.

MasterCornholio1142d ago (Edited 1142d ago )

Are you being sarcastic or do you really believe that?

In my opinion I dont think that Sony is worried about the Xb1. Most of the sales are due to retailers competing with each other not Sony officially dropping the price.

SoapShoes1142d ago (Edited 1142d ago )

But PS4 is the best selling system on the market. You can only make that assessment when it's a console that isn't doing so hot.

Magicite1142d ago

Here in Latvia, at certain retailers, PS4 costs 350euros (taxes and delivery included) without any discounts.
Im hoping to get PS4 (probably used) for around ~300euros early next year.
P.S. X1 is around 360euros now.

Hellsvacancy1142d ago (Edited 1142d ago )
