Nintendo has had a long tradition of putting emphasis and priority on the home console market in Japan instead of other regions, but is this a tradition worth keeping in 2014 and beyond when competitors Sony and Microsoft don't? Shawn Long breaks it down in the latest Nintendo Rants.
Bayonetta's character design and abilities have changed a lot since the series debuted in 2009, with new costumes and dark arts in every title.
With Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty coming soon, it's time to look back at the developer's greatest triumphs...and one oddball favorite.
Many fans have been expressing their disappointment with Bayonetta 3. Here's why the recently released game is a clear step down from Bayonetta 2.
I thought they focused on big kaiju like fights which felt gimmicky and thy brought this new character in to try and get away from the leading star
*Spoilers*
I mean they pretty much killed 3 big characters. They killed Jeanne, Luka and Bayonetta herself and it's not the fact they died it's how they died, we've seen Jeanne and Bayonetta survive countless things yet they go out by the lamest ways possible.
Nintendo in general makes dumb business decisions. Example: Nintendo releasing Bayonetta 2 & Super Smash Bros. 3DS within a week of each other. Who thought that was a good idea?
Nintendo does need to stop treating America and Europe like red headed step children and start acting like a player on the global market. But they won;t do it so it's same ol same ol.
Nintendo should make a new console called the New Wii U without the gamepad remote , just have a regular controller and a better CPU so it can get 3rd party games.
the problem is nintendo instead of adapting to the where the industry is headed is trying to differentiate themselves.
Miyamoto has been very outspoken about this.
which is ok. but when you do that theres a lot of risk involved. they had a hit with the wii with the whole motion control thing.
but as you can see this mentality has now cost them. wii u although not a complete disaster has been pretty abysmal. they've completely alienated a huge chunk of hardcore older gamers.
having this gimmicky game pad, horrible online, horrible media features, horrible third party support, horrible specs for their console.
they're just being stubborn at this point.
3rd parties would still ignore it. 90% of the games that are from 3rd parties are coming to Ps3 and xbox 360.
So power has nothing to do with 3rd party support.
When people say third parties they mostly mean the big three.
The big three dont really like Nintendo and it is hard to work out why. Actually, I know why... Most Nintendo fans live in the past, talk about Metroid and Ocarina of time.
There are plenty of good modern games on Nintendo but they dont get the support they deserve.
I hope people buy Bayonetta 2, splatoon and Devil's third.
