Themes Coming to PS Vita with System Software Update 3.30

You can't make your own unfortunately. What you can do is change the background image to customize the look of any theme you get.

they said in the video that you will be able to take your own pictures and make a theme but i guess i might've heard wrong, or u might've... idk

The author clearly said:

All you can do is change the background, just like you could do before on the Vita.

Awesome. I'll hopefully be making myself themes soon too. Specifically a studio ghibli one. Or maybe a ghost in the shell, all dynamic.

You cant make your own theme, you can only change the background with pictures you have.

Hopefully Sony decides to support the Vita more. It's not impossible to turn things around, I just hope they try. Or else it will end up like the Dreamcast, awesome, but unappreciated.

Yeah, it definitely would, but I don't want it to die. It shouldn't, I'm sure Sony will do something though, they're known for turning things around.

The thing is that Sony says they most likely wont support the Vita with AAA title from their own studios.

So.. if that is the case, why not look into reviving older IPs (testing new experimental IPs) with smaller titles from your own studios.

Great opportunity to still support the platform with titles that are better suited to meeting their financial need while their studios continue their bigger projects on the PS4. I recall talk of Home originally supporting a 2D uncharted game. If that existed in some form, would be great to get it out onto the Vita.

There are definitely ways for Sony to support the PSV and hopefully they do.

It should have been available from launch but nooo let's all rush products and give consumers half finished products

The Vita barely gets updated. This is why it is hyped more than your usual console. Now that the PS TV is coming, this may not be such a rare occurrence in the future.
