Baldur's Gate - A Retrospective look

Ask any person who is well-rounded in the realm of RPGs, and they'll tell you about a certain realm often forgotten by the modern RPG scene. One may call them...Forgotten Realms.

Of course, Jonathon Sadowski is referring to the isometric CRPGs of yesteryear. Or to be exact, approximately *fifteen* years ago. Dungeons and Dragons games had been attempted before, but no one quite accomplished the true feel of sitting around a table, rolling dice, playing D&D with some of your closest friends (or enemies), and going on adventures realized in the combined imagination of all involved.

Newcomers BioWare promised the world and delivered. A very, very large one at that. Possibly the best debut title ever, Baldur's Gate released to massive acclaim.

The story is too old to be commented.
