Many of you familiar with my writing and twitter meanderings are probably aware that I'm a massive Dragon Age nerd. Dragon Age Origins is probably my favourite game of all time, so imagine my disappointment when Dragon Age 2 turned out to be a dumbed down, asset-abusing cash in. Despite the re-use of locations that drew the ire of critics and fans a-like, Dragon Age 2 did feature good characters and a solid plot, seemingly, at the cost of breadth.
After the controversy of Mass Effect 3's skittles ending, many commentators figured the decline in quality was simply down to the EA effect. Had the great Bioware succumb to the nefarious cut-corners profit-hungry shareholder-appeasing schemes of their evil EA overlords?
