all ive heard about this game, relationship this, gay that
is that all the game is about never played any of them so I'm not sure

Well it's an RPG so it's pretty much all about forming and maintaining relationships with various characters. The gay thing....I dunno, I haven't seen anyone mention that here except yourself. In fact I'd say at least 90% of the times I've heard homosexuality brought up with reference to this game is by people who supposedly have no interest in that sort of thing.

There are homosexual options. It's not forced on you. You're not forced to romance anyone either but it adds depth to your character's story I guess.

Sketch_Galore is right about the RPG part. But no relationships aren't everything in DA. There's fighting, good story. It's one of those games where you make your character and take decisions. Kind of non-linear. The first is amazing, the second one lacks in many areas but is still good IMO. Not games for everyone but definitely worth at least checking out if you ask me.

Still have some skepticism about this game but hiding the relationship stats and bars is a fantastic move I have to say. It was always a good thing knowing how your choices would affect your teammates opinion of you but constantly seeing '____ friendship+5' and so on really worked against the immersion and started to make it feel like a dumb balancing mini game

True. It looks like they're bringing it back to how it worked in Baldur's Gate.

"Relationship Meters"

So much for the "meaningful" relationships. It looks like this is going to be another case of "spam gifts, get pathetic looking clothed sex scene" again.

Roccetarius1267d ago

Yeah, i thought that idea was pretty...pathetic. Games are much better off without such ideas.
