If you want to see more of how Project CARS looks on PS4, you’re in luck, as we have a brand new video from EGX 2014 in London showing how the game runs on Sony’s console.
Wow. The lighting is just gorgeous. Cant wait to finally play this.
Day to night transition looks awesome. But I really want to see some 60fps footage.
Check if Gamersyde has any, they usually post ultra high Quality, and 60fps gameplay.
The interior feels very empty: 2:14 - 2:25 of this video (up). unlike Driveclub: https://www.youtube.com/wat... Around 1:46-1:47. then again in 1:56-2:14. Lighting in Project Cars feels baked. Not sure how good it is on PC at MAX settings, but we're comparing 2 PS4 games. So far, Driveclub smokes Project Cars and leaving it in the dust.
Interior feels empty? Its a gt3 racecar, those interiors tend to be bare.. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-g... Lighting feels baked? All tracks have dynamic time, therefore dynamic lighting and shadows... A baked look is the goal with dynamic lighting..
I just watched the drive club launch trailer and it looks like it's really come a long way. I'm not sure if it's just me but I think drive club looks a lot better in comparison. Same can probably be said about forza if your an x1 owner.
Why so many racing games this holiday.I don't know witch to play.
Just buy forza horizon 2 looks gorgeous and is tons of fun.
Sorry but the gameplay looks anything but fun, with all the talking and bragging that goes on about this game I thought it would be amazing but the gameplay looks kind of average to me. Forza Horizon 2 - Eurogamer Let's Play LIVE http://youtu.be/LNjaPn0zyVY
Agree with TheGreatAndPowerful, I would even go as far and say that FH2 has been a bit overrated for what it offers. I'll go with Driveclub for now, it's visuals surpass every other game this year.
@bloodborn, Your in the minority when it comes to FH2. And how is exactly is it over rated for what it offers? So far weve only played a demo so enlighten us if you would. @Great and Powerful...but i bet DC looks fun, and PC is doing what exactly that GT, Forza and plenty of other racers havent done before? Lol...you guys are funny. I gave you guys bubbles for funny. I wish N4G would allow bubbles for butthurt...lol
First of all let me say ontopic that I've played PCARS on PC and despite some great aspects it didn't convince me enough to be interested in the PS4 version. "And how is exactly is it over rated for what it offers? So far weve only played a demo so enlighten us if you would." I didn't even play the demo (yeah yeah) but I've played FH1 and got bored by it pretty fast. I've seen quite a few FH2 reviews though and the racing itself looks just unexciting and soulless to me. I'm one of those people who generally dislike open world racing games because the open worlds usually take away the best parts of the actual racing experience and this looks just as boring as FH1, NFS Rivals/Hot Pursuit or The Crew. That's just me though, I simply could never give any of these games a 9/10 because I don't enjoy them enough.
sorry mate, but out of 4 upcoming racers, FH2 will be in minority and gonna sell least.
FH2 looks nice, if I had an xbox one I'd get it but I won't buy an xbox one just for that one game. Gears of War, done properly would get me to buy the box, then I'd pickup FH2 or whichever is the latest at that time. For now Driveclub looks utterly stunning and is the one I'm most waiting for. That said I will also pick up Project Cars.
I'm buying FH2 day one, then trading it in towards DC when that releases, or shortly after. Then I'll trade DC in towards PC eventually. Much cheaper than buying them all separately for £120.
But Lukas, DC's gonna have all the cool updates coming later this year or next year, plus it's primarily an online social racer...You're really going to trade it in for PC?
There's no way I'm trading in this game for anything else. It's a keeper! https://www.youtube.com/wat...
@sourav93 I said "eventually" ;) I'll keep DC for a good few months before I trade it in. I trade in the vast majority of my games.
Not a bad idea LJ. I think it will probably be all 3 for me. FH2 for my arcade fun and PC for my sim, and hoping DC is good to.
@angelsx I dated a witch once....good times. Until it all went horribly wrong.
grab Driveclub and see what real next gen visuals look like ;).
wow, this game looks excellent. I've certainly been waiting for Driveclub, but this looks to challenge it for sure.
Looks nice. I Get bored of track racers though after a few goes, maybe because I've driven found them thousands of times on either GT or Forza over the years.. I'm more looking forward to Driveclub & FH2, but for the track racing fans this looks incredible.
GT gameplay is much deeper then driving a track for 1000 times. You evolve in gameplay. People fight over less then a second in GT Academy . lol As for this game , it looks great , but not sure about the gameplay , have to try it to judge if it's gameplay is simple or complicated and tough like in GT . Wish if it's more like GT then arcade games like Drive club and Forza...
My next racer after FH2. and the last racer I buy for a little while. even though FM5 satisfies my sim needs. I want this game in my collection as a racing fan. I have heard nothing but good things about it. Hope the car handling is on point :)
That's what I do too. There will not be game of sim racing till FM 6 drops even tho I hope Assetto Corsa or Raceroom comes to Consoles. 54 days till release.
I have heard about asseto corse, but I wonder if it might be too similar to project cars.. Still If it is coming out at a later date... ;)
"FM5 satisfies my Sim needs" I don't even... What!?
@rivitur yeah, I know its short on content compared to previous forzas but, at its core the driving model is brilliant. And yes I still bought GT5 on my old PS3. I just so happened to prefer Forza 4s take on certain aspects ( tyres suspension and engine sounds, amongst other things). You have a problem, with that? Anyway... I look forward to what project cars brings to the table. Funny how the part of my comment that you hone in on is the part about my personal taste in driving games. no point in responding. I have run out of bubbles and said all I care to say in this thread. Not much point in reading a response I cant reply to. peace.
Looking good. I'm glad the cockpit looks up to snuff. Shame they couldn't muster up 60fps for the consoles.
Tee bag The game is 60fps on ps4/xone.You should read more
My bad. Happy Days :)
Obvious troll lol
How's that trolling 1 bubble child?
If I were to say one thing, the density of stars looks a bit off. The amount of light sources present (from the city, the racetrack, etc) should make it harder for light from the stars to be visible. They should be a little bit fainter. Unless I'm being YouTube-d again...
Agreed and yea this is off cam footage. I am hoping its a bit darker at night. I just wish this game came sooner.
Sorry but this looks like another granturismo to me. nothing special about this game says buy me. The only games that interest me so far is fh2 and possibly driveclub. Fh2 go anywhere you want in over 200 cars will be a blast.
Career mode, go look ii up.
Our Logitech wheels are only compatible with the PC version, the PS4 version can only be played with a new Thrustmaster and the first good Thrustmaster wheel costs over 300 dollars/euros. The cheaper ones do not have forcefeedback but use a bungiecord and are useless for a game like this. Puhlease fix this Sony, do not force us to buy new wheels!
Agreed. I have a G25 and a strong column I built myself, and do many good racing games coming out but I'm just so meh cos I don't want to play them a controller. The hardwares there, it's just a driver thing (ironic) I'm sure. Fix this or watch me pretty much skip racing games this gen.
I'm picking up the T300 myself, but the T100 doesn't sound too bad. Pretty sure it's the T80 you're thinking of that doesn't have force feedback.
From my understanding Logitech is pointing the finger at Sony for ps4 compatible drivers (software) and Sony is saying, well its your product you do it. I have feeling this won't change for a while, because Microsoft is in the same stance. I personally believe Logitech should update the drivers and send it to Microsoft/Sony.
I heard something about Logitech having to pay licensing fees to Immersion if they do update, which would be why they're reluctant to do so. If you want to play with a wheel, it looks like the T80, T00, T300 and T500 from Thrustmaster are your only options for the foreseeable future.
Shame , this will be a negative toward the game since it claim it's a sim but doesn't support a wheel which makes the gameplay more realistic...
It supports other wheels. Just because it doesn't support your wheel of choice doesn't mean it's any less of a sim. Besides, it's up to Sony and Logitech to get this sorted out, so the developer. Nice attempt to force faulty logic into the conversation though.
Well , i'm not paying for another wheel. I bought this one because it was supported in it's time and it was the best and still one of the best. But now i can't use it on racing games. No matter how good the game is i consider this a negative. I have a history with GT, If there is a better wheel for it with big difference then i will buy it just for that game but it's still gonna be a negative for not supporting my wheel :P ...
I think there's a licensing issue with Immersion that is preventing Logitech from updating the drivers. I've heard the patent doesn't end until next year sometime, so you're probably out of luck until then. I hope they get back into the wheel business then, because I like their business model a hell of a lot more than I like Thrustmaster's.
We xbox owners have less choice.... Thrustmaster 458 Italia I believe is the only decent choice at the moment.. It is almost $800 wich is BS .... It will almost be cheaper to buy a ps4 to play this game with a decent wheel.
Jesus, are you from Australia or something? Here in the U.S. that same wheel is $323 on Amazon. Edit: Here you go. See how much it costs to have it shipped. Who knows, you might be able to get it much cheaper than expected, especially if you're willing to wait until Black Friday. http://www.amazon.com/Thrus...
As a racer I want from this game to be realy very good and gets what it deserves. It looks very promising. Hope not dissapoints me and no one. I remember the times I played GT 3,4,5 5-6 hours astraight. Forza 2-3 as well.
Have this preordered and this finally a game again with endurance racing, pit stop, driver swap etc. I hope the true racers get this and make for exciting online racing
Y couldnt it be destruction derby instead of racing I think it would look mayhem
PC will melt this
Love that helmet cam!
Still nothing on the Wii U version. Really?
The greatest enemy of a racer is how generic it is. Gt and (before their latest gimmic) forza sell well because of their production values and roster of vehicles. Something like what we see here really has to go above and beyond to be a success, and I'm honestly not sure if it escapes the realm of generic-racer to do that. I know that, based on this, I'm certainly not more interested in this than DC. DC seems like it offers much more, technically and feature-wise, so, if the two release in similar time frames, you won't need winded comments like mine to explain the obvious and inevitable.
@alti "DC seems like it offers much more, technically and feature-wise" Not sure where you get that idea. DC is a simple arcade racer where Project Cars is a sim. Project Cars also features more cars, tracks, way better physics, almost 3x the online players in a race, actual destruction, 60 fps, VR support, etc etc etc. I'm trying to think of one feature that DC has that Project Cars doesn't, but I'm drawing a blank. You also shouldn't compare it to GT or Forza since neither of those games are sims either.
Pcars at 4k is killer. And Im very happy that they have tweaked the physics very well.....that had me worried for a minute even though i am playing a Alpha Beta and not the Gold version
Project Cars (PC Version) for the Driving Simulation and FH2 for the openworld arcade experience. Good year of racing coming my way.
Driver is terrible. Game looks great. I want to use my DFGT on the PS4. If I can't, I'm not buying it. Simple as that.
Nice will be getting this for pc with my wheel , FH2 for the box car joy.
Just hope retail shops would offer a bundle deal on PS4 with both Project CARS and Driveclub. Definitely would buy that in an instant.
