Tom Price from TeamXbox writes:
"The new game based on the popular Discovery Channel documentary-style reality show Deadliest Catch is something I really, really wanted to like. Not only am I a huge fan of the show, I like hardcore simulations like this even if they may be boring and too slow-moving for most people. I appreciate the fact that the game isn't just some cheap attempt to cash in on the show's popularity, but a genuine attempt to make a game that simulates the real life of the Bering Strait's crab fishermen. That may sound weird to you, but it works for me.
But unfortunately, despite all of the developer's and publisher's (Liquid Dragon and Greenwave, respectively) best intentions, the game is technically a mess. Filled with bad framerates, interminable load times and outright glitches, the experience ends up being a frustrating one, even for those who appreciate the kind of game it is. Like me."
