I can't believe Sleeping Dogs is $70 in Canada.

Wow, Divekick is $16 on the Japanese store. Way overpriced o_o

Xof1541d ago

Not really. It's closer to $15, and you have to keep in mind that Japanese wages and salaries are much higher than in the United States, which is why their media (games, music, movies) typically sells at 200-400% it's cost stateside.

One of the big reasons for region-locking media in Japan is actually to prevent the Japanese from importing everything at a much-cheaper price from overseas.

"and you have to keep in mind that Japanese wages and salaries are much higher than in the United States"

That's simply not true.

Its true enough. Japan has had a stronger economy than the US since they got out of that Yakuza banking crash back in the 1990s.

Its less a matter of wages and salaries and more a matter of the yen just having more buying power than the dollar.

I thought sleeping dogs definitive edition was supposed to be 1080p on PS4 but if you go to the pre-order page on PSN it says it's only 720p. If it is only 720p it better run at 60fps.

720 or 1080p don't matter when the game sucks
