2014 Japan Game Awards - Games of the year announced

The Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association announced the winners of the 2014 Japan Game Awards. The prestigious "Grand Award for 2014" went to both Monster Hunter 4 from Capcom and YO-Kai Watch from LEVEL-5 Inc. The "Game Designers Award" went to Indie game, Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons. Pokémon X and Pokémon Y walked away with three awards, the "Best Sales Award," "Award for Excellence" and the "Global Award Japanese Product." Grand Theft Auto V won the "Global Award Foreign Product" and Sony walked away with eight out of the twelve "Future Division Awards."

The story is too old to be commented.

So 8 out of the 12 Japan Future Game Awards are Sony exclusives. Why was the PS4 so small in Japan?

PS3 is established, and still massive in Japan. PS2 had similar success.

Very good question, wonder if anyone can shed some light on this

As a side note: Dark Souls II is featured. My game of the year.

I still need to play the expansion :( Need to die some more :)

You will die. Repeatedly. The final boss of the Old Iron King is mean. It took me over five hours of taking him on to really get him down.
