Microsoft’s Totally Real Reason for not Bringing Halo: Master Chief Collection to PC (satire)

Twinfinite writes, "Along with logistic reasons such as time and budgetary concerns related to porting, Microsoft discusses the biggest reason why they haven't been getting things done in the PC gaming marketplace."

People can joke all they want, but getting down to the nitty gritty, Xbox One needs a real system seller, and no games other than Halo and Gears will do.

I agree, But I do think maybe FH2 and SO might be worthy contenders? Also Crackdown looks promising but I need to see more.

What I find funny is:
-MS puts games one PC people say "all the xbox one games come to PC, why buy a XB1?"
-MS retains exclusivity for xbox games people say "MS doesn't care about it's fans."

Personally I hope Halo MCC, Halo 5, scalebound, FH2, Quantum break, etc never come to PC, otherwise, why have a consple at all?

Bathyj1549d ago

I think you mean why have an Xbox at all.

Just for the record, I agree with what you said. Its an Xbox game, it belongs on Xbox, if you want Halo you will buy an Xbox.

nicksetzer11549d ago

@bathy I mean why (should MS) have (manufacture) a console at all. I am referring to MS and xbox exclusives so obviously when I say why have (manufacture) a console at all, I mean if all the xbox exclusives come to PC why does MS even make a console at all.....

Idk what is confusing about that or how you think that comment was about anything other than xbox. I feel like your desperate need to make controversy out of nothing is the issue. The fact you think my comment had ANYTHING to do with any other manufacturer (despite mentioning NOTHING but MS products) and were so quick to whine about nothing proves that.

That's quite the predicament. It's almost as if having two competing platforms to split your games across doesn't make much sense, huh?

Maybe if they had more unique games like Alan wake and Quantum Break then it wouldnt need a saviour or huge ips like Halo or Gears and i still think those 2.5billion should have been for 25 AAA new ips .

gamerfan09091549d ago (Edited 1549d ago )

You and the other idiots that keep saying this do realize that 2.5 billion dollars is off shore money and probably stock options that they bought a company for right? Them buying Minecraft has zero to do with Xbox and everything to do with acquiring the brand and monetizing it to it's fullest. I doubt that 2.5 million even came out of the Xbox budget. And while we're at it many of the top IP's you see in gaming and will see in the future started being xbox.

Artista 1549d ago (Edited 1549d ago )

First of all, not every first party game can do halo numbers, no matter how good they are. Although, I believe this gen we'll see a new breed of system sellers.

Also, no matter how much the Xbox offers, clowns will always be blind to it. They'll only ever see Halo and Gears.

Quantum break
Sunset overdrive
Ori and the bound forest

Those are new ips aren't they?

choujij1548d ago (Edited 1548d ago )

@Artista "First of all, not every first party game can do halo numbers, no matter how good they are."

Not all Halos sold as much as Halo 3. And with that said, even Kinect Adventures sold 10 million more copies than the highest selling Halo game of all time (Halo 3):

The Wii's top 7 highest selling exclusives even outsold Halo 3. So you never know. But definitely having more exclusives always helps.

And regarding your list, no, people aren't blind to the games you mentioned. In fact, they are starting to see all too well how likely half those games are going to jump platform, just like other Xbox exclusives* have.

DragoonsScaleLegends1549d ago

I guess XO gamers only care for Halo type games but whatever I don't get it.

cubcake1549d ago

I guess PS4 gamers only care about Uncharted type games but, whatever, I don't get it.

DragoonsScaleLegends1549d ago

@cubcake I was joking but I still don't like Halo and don't understand why it's so hyped on the Xbox brand. I loved Uncharted 2 I thought it was amazing when I first played it. Uncharted 3 was also fun but not as amazing as the second. Yeah everyone has different opinions and I don't get it was me joking except I seriously don't like halo but that's my opinion and everyones is different, that's life.

I hate satire articles, a lot of people get pissed off and controversial because they dont see the satire and sarcasm lol, causes confusion

Drive-By-Stabba1549d ago

If they can't tell its satire with the word satire actually bring in the title, maybe its not the article where the problem lies.

Tedakin1549d ago

This is going to sell xboxes more than Titanfall or any other game. Putting it on PC would be insanity.

TheBurger291549d ago

So pretty much screw the fans because ms screwed up.

2pacalypsenow1549d ago (Edited 1549d ago )

I'm pretty sure most of the halo fans are on Xbox anyways

Tedakin1549d ago

Hmm. I think most Halo fans would buy an xbox. What about Halo 5? MS gets slammed when they put games on PC ending console exclusivity, now they're getting slammed for not. They can't win.

I don't know maybe I'm just old school but I been gaming since the nes days with Super mario Bros/ Duck hunt and Double Dragon as the 1st games I ever played. It's sad to see people constantly attacking these consoles because at it's heart it's all supposed to be fun and games literally. PlayStation fans act like they wanna see Xbox burn at the stake, and Xbox fans act like they wanna see Sony go bankrupt. I'm not trying to be the voice of reasoning but that's just how i see it. Everyone wants to see these consoles go away yet we all grew up with them. People hate Microsoft now but they're the same company they've always been even when people used to love the 360. the only difference is it's a new generation. And sometimes these older companies have a hard time adjusting to the new trends. If you don't believe me just ask your grand parents.
