Pretty pictures only go so far; for loyal long-time fans, they're still seeing an action game and not a role-playing game.
I sure care! **** the haters!
lol ,even the haters will line up for midnight launch everyone is anticipating ff 15, some are just either salty over the platform or how ff13 turned out or something else. this is just clickbait
A pretty looking trailer at best for now. It's no different really than the impressions of when FFXIII trailers were first out; pretty visuals, mega hype. can it's story equal it's epic scale? I do really hope so.
No lie, we finally have something that looks pretty good coming out of Square Enix. Been down on them so long, hoping this (as well as FF 0-Type and Agito for Vita) will finally turn it around
Are u guys going for a midnight launch on this game ?
This game reeks of style over substance to me. And I've seen nothing to suggest otherwise. You guys seem pretty eager to forget Squeenix just spent an entire generation releasing pretty but boring Final Fantasy games. I really hope I'm wrong, the monsters look incredible, but I'm approaching this one with caution
Well, from the trailer, it looks like it's a love story again(guy is driving to meet some girl), and that's a good sign, that's what makes all the best stories in Final Fantasy emotional in my opinion. I thought Final Fantasy 12 & 13 really got away from this. Anyway, I was pretty impressed by the trailer, looks like Final Fantasy might be back. Final Fantasy, Metal Gear Solid, Silent Hill franchises all looking impressive again this gen, wow didn't expect this.
This game looks absolutely amazing! I havent been this hyped for a game in forever. I am gonna play other games too, but nothing has got me as hyped as this here product. This game is what i imagined games would be in the future, not a million cod clones.
I will never understand how anyone could love the turn based FF's combat. I mean I LOVE the games as a whole. But the combat itself is and has always been shoddy at best. It's not always the case that real time is both more strategic or more fun than turn based, but when real time is done right...it vastly excels past turn based(unless you mean S-Rpgs which are different entirely). FF combat has been passable-fun up till now. Now it'll have great combat and then everything else that makes FF(well, 7-8) good along with some other things from FF4-6.
I like it as well. From what I've seen of FFXV's game play it reminds me a lot of FFXII's, which is one of my favorite combat styles of any FI game. Kind of reminds me of Demon Soul's game play with a slight change that should prove to be very enjoyable.
Opinions. For me, the fun is gone. I now move to the sidelines of all of gaming, and wait...probably forever...
I dont care about those who dont care.
I am a loyal fan. I have been playing for over a decade and I am interested in this game. Please speak for yourself and not the entire fanbase. This game looks awesome. There is not one formula for roleplaying. Looking at FF10 and FF12: Both games were great and both use vastly different mechanics. He doesn't even know the mechanics of the game and yet he hates it. That is beyond irrational. He says he hates it because it is more action and not a role playing game. Obviously he has never played Kingdom Hearts. People who want to play the same old exact game should stick to emulators.
I love Kingdom Hearts, I enjoy the series' story and gameplay immensely. This game is being made by the Kingdom Hearts team and was directed by Tetsuya Nomura..... no matter how long it takes to release, my love for Kingdom Hearts will always make me want Final Fantasy XV when I have barely played any Final Fantasy games before
I really hate Square-Enix nowadays, still, i'm really excited with FFXV, Kingdom Hearts 3 and Type-0 remake. For sure we will have great jrpgs for PS4, Persona 5 is one example, also Tales of Zestiria for PS3. Let's hope for a new game or a sequel for Ni no Kuni made by Level-5 and Studio Ghibli.
I agree with your comment. It's like you saw into my soul.
Been playing this series since Final Fantasy 1. I've played every iteration, and absolutely love the classic turn-based battle systems. I'm also happy to say I'm eagerly awaiting this game, and I'm excited to see how the more action-oriented gameplay works. I can't believe people are brushing this game off just for not being turn based. It's ridiculous, as they haven't even played the game yet to see how this new system plays...
In regards to a previous topics: Secret summons would be great! I'm really looking to see what design they'll take. Summons have undergone radical changes lately. Shiva was a twin sister motorcycle in XIII and an ice skater in Type-0 (skating around with her is so much fun xD) so I'm interested to see what form she takes in Vers-, uh, XV :) Also will they fight alongside you? Will you take control of the summon? Will all characters be able to summon? Looking forward to finding out.
This is the first Final Fantasy that I have absolutely zero hype for. That may turn out to be a good thing. If the game is good or bad, I won't be disappointed.
Gonna be perfectly honest: at first my interest in this game was purely to see what was keeping me away from KH3 (since its the same team making it). I got around to acquiring a ps3 Dec 2012 because it seemed like it was nearing release at the time. More recently, however, I've become genuinely interested in it based on its own merits. Last I heard, this game was still part of the Fabula Nova Crystallis mythology, even after it became FFXV. Would be interesting if **SPOILER ALERT** (though many of you probably won't care) this was the future of the new world that was created at the end of Lightning Returns. Doubt it...
Type-0 and FFXV are part of FNC but that just means it has its lore/terms. Like We might hear about l'cie, Eidolons, Etro, Fal'cie etc.. thats pretty much it.
You don't care yet you write an opinion piece on it. Correction you do care, you may not like it but you do care. To care for something, doesn't mean you have to like it. People who don't care for something are indifferent on it, show no emotion towards it, ignore it completely. That is what it means to not care.
probably doesnt care too much. but its a very good time to write a ffxv article.
Guy doesn't seem to be interested in anything Final Fantasy or Kingdom Hearts, if you don't like them, this simply isn't for you, idiotic guy looking for hits.
This game gives me goosebumps I'm very much hyped for this.
Hey hater are going to hate but I can't wait this game definitely looks like the polished final fantasy 7 to me 😎😎😎
Okay , if you do not care , why are you promoting the game???
Looks like another FF13. Which means meh... What would I give to have another game in the style of Final Fantasy IX.....
Really, it looks nothing like FF XIII... at all In fact, as part of the Fabula Nova Crystallis, it was called Versus because it was the polar opposite of XIII in both concept, scale and gameplay. The world and its characters are far more interesting. Nothing has changed about all of that, other than the graphics looks SO much sharper and more beautiful than what we've seen previously. The game look nothing short of the kind of game for this generation, as FF VII was for the PS1.
I still remember the exact day when XIII, Versus XIII and Agito XIII were announced at E3 2006. I was in an ICT lesson at school on N4G when the news hit and I was like OMG, OMG, OMG, THREE THIRTEEN GAMES! In March 2015, 9 years after these games were (originally) announced we'll be able to finally play Type-0 HD (Agito XIII) and a demo to XV (Versus XIII). From what I've seen the wait will be well worth it and I'm incredibly excited for both games!
Well, we definitely got three 13 games alright
We sure did. Question is, will we get three XV games? I'm hoping not. I want XV to be a standalone game, as in, one complete story. No "to be continued" please, Tabata!
It's not about how pretty the game is. The deep real-time combat mechanics and intriguing story (loosely based on Hamlet) are what we're excited for.
This game could look like final fantasy 1 for all I care, as long as it plays like Ffs or any through to 12 I really couldn't care less. It has to feel like a final fantasy. Prettiness is one thing, the witcher 3 is pretty.... but it will be epic too. Ffxv still has doubts shrouding it IMO. Prove me wrong square! I want it to be epic
Just stay open minded. 12 didn't play like FF I-X still you regard it as one of the good FFs. Change is good, if done right. And I don't see any reason for doubt about this one.
Change is good, in some ways. 12 is one of my favorites. But the changes weren't the direct reason, it was the overall feel, it was final fantasy!
Iv seen plenty of comments today of people saying they have never played a FF game but are very interested in XV because its more action based. For every fan this game looses just because of its combat system it gains another.
With sales dropping with every new release, I'm not sure if that's exactly ok for SE.
No, main instalments will be huge. Lightning returns.... no. Ffxiii lightning bad hair day Ffxiii hopes epic ball drop day Ffxiii vanielles never ending journey They won't sell... ffxv, ffxvi will though. Assuming it bucks the trend and goes back to its glory days.
Looks like they dug into Final Fantasy VII for some of those character models. People often say "The next one will be better" but "lets just wait and see" is what we should be doing.
Nomura did characters for both games, so that shouldn't surprise anyone. That's a good thing, by the way.
Listen to the theme at the very end of the new trailer... Sounds awfully like the opening Prelude theme from FFVII: https://www.youtube.com/wat... That HAS to be on purpose. So good!
Just another retarded article.
Lol Says he does not care. Writes an article about it lol.... GoodJOB
Oh you don't care? Well, you certainly have convinced me. /s All that matters to me is I'm excited, no opinion will sway that. I've been waiting for this since I was 13, it feels so close now. I really really hope it's good, I have to keep my hype levels tempered but that trailer didn't help lol.
The characters and world are jarring. They don't seem to fit together. Also where are the female chars. I just see a bunch of Lookalike guys driving around in a weird convertible car that looks so out of place.
Yet he cared enough to dedicate the time to write a whole article about it...lame.
Take a look at this guy's submission history, he writes an opinion piece with a flamebait title after each major release or announcement. Pathetic
This trailer got me even less excited than the previous ones. I certainly won't buy a PS4 to play it, so I'll only buy it if they release it on Steam like they're doing with XIII.
I just don't know. What's wrong with turn based combat? It's what makes Final Fantasy what it is (was). I miss the old Square, man. I really really do. Used to be they could do no wrong.
This guy thinks he speaks for all older fans..
Normally, I dont go for FF games due to their turn based nature (its just not my thing). But from what I have seen of this, there is finally a FF game I can play. Im going to try out this and type 0 HD. They will be my first FF games.
The combat looked clunky. It seems the change in direction was earlier than reported. Maybe it's because they didn't want the combat to be too much like Kingdom Hearts and more like FF12. Then again, maybe it's just because it looks like the game is running at 15 FPS.
Amazing, I was blown away to be honest.
Well, I do.
Seems like their usual push for graphics, while the rest is average. This is going to be the deathblow for Final Fantasy, but the fanatics will gobble this up like always. You could use another name for this game, and it wouldn't even make a difference. I can definitely see Tales of ____ being the better game, if this is the route Squeenix is going for.
Pretty graphics do not amount to gameplay. However, graphics is very important.
"Looks bring us over but personality is what makes us stay" I am expecting this is be released 2016.
