Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain due out in 2015, AI buddy system revealed

"Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC in 2015, Kojima Productions confirmed during its Tokyo Game Show “Vocation” stage event.

Additionally, Kojima lifted the lid on the game’s new buddy system. Other characters, such as Quiet, can tag along with Snake on missions in an effort to support his infiltration efforts. Support characters can be made to do things such as proceed ahead of Snake and perform infiltrations themselves and provide supporting fire, widening the strategic breadth of the game."

The story is too old to be commented.

I thought this game was supposed to be PS4/Xone/PC only?

It always was a cross gen game like ground zeroes

So did I. Never really paid much attention though to be honest, but expected this to take full advantage of the new hardware. Obviously not.

I can't say that I won't buy MGSV because it's cross gen, but I'm certainly getting tired of games like Watch_Dogs or Destiny obviously not being all they could be because of the cross gen limitations....for me it really depends on when MGSV launches. If it's up in a window against games like The Division, Star Wars Battlefront, Uncharted, Halo 5, or No Man's Sky, it may not be a buy at launch for me personally...I may wait for it to drop in price.

ai for buddy seemed pretty nonexistant, but a cool feature.

So a 2015 release. Yeah I kinda expected that. So when in 2015?

2015 is looking sweet so far, I just hope they space out the releases and not group them together all in fall 2015. I really dislike when devs do that.

Hanso1070d ago

sweet? 2015 looks like could be the best Gaming year in my life LOL!!!!

While I share your enthusiasm I'm try not to let hype get to me. We've all seen what hype does.
