One person cheats on their partner with multiple people in order to gain good press for their game.

Another person uses demonstrably false and fabricated information and events to scam money by whipping up anti-videogame controversy.

Both these people seem to be drawing criticism from the videogaming subculture. I wonder why....... hmmmmmmm. Oh wait, they're both women. It must be that. Yeah it's because they're women.

A local radio station here said it best. You don't cater to a new audience because that audience isn't your target audience, and it won't work. The ones that have been there and supporting you shouldn't be alienated in hopes to expand, because then you just lose them too. If there are people from that other audience that wants to join in, they will, and they won't mind why it's not targeted at them. And yet there will be things for them too.

They also went on to say what is the problem with "scantly dressed woman"? Are you stating that those woman dressed like that are too stupid to know what they are doing? Or are you simply angry because of human nature to be competitive with other woman and you feel threatened that another woman looks better than you?

Moral of this story, if you get mad at these games then realize these games are not made for you, get over it. Buy something else and support something else, don't try to destroy something other people like just because you don't like it.

When you're investing millions of pounds on a project, you're going to cater for the largest possible audience you can. If that means you 'sell out' to the core audience, then that's a risk you take.
As the proportion of gamers that are female increases, any publisher that wants to grow has to acknowledge it.
That doesn't mean massively altering games to appease SJWs, but rather creating experiences which are not going to alienate a potential new fanbase.

If something like video gaming started as male focused entertainment and it has grown into women during the past years, we are not obligated to change anything just to appease the women democraphic that cares about this so much. If they want the gaming to change, they must contribute into it as well and not just complain to us and spread/escalate the hate. Hell they could ask for the already excisting female game developers to contribute into the change.

Im all for people expressing their oppinions but Anita nitpicking some of her examples in videogames (and the other side going into full retard mode to start attacking) doesnt help the issue at all.

We constantly hear that, but as far as I could tell, there was no added coverage for said person or game. To me, it just seems she was a cheater, and a ugly person in my opinion, but PR? There seemed to be no proof of that?

IF she slept with 5 different guys in higher positions than she was then I believe that was her intentions at least and people should not concentrate on anything else.

It's a single damn HTML page with some terrible javascript behind it. It's absolute kindergarten level html/js and an offense to actual game programmers.

I've always had a problem with the GTA prostitute killing thing - it is misogynistic. I think freedom of speech and free artistic expression are important ideals but I think it's about time for Rockstar to express themselves differently and take the choice for this for senseless and gratuitous violence against women out of GTA. I don't think they should be forced to do so, but it would be a classy move on their part.
