On Tuesday, Bungie and Activision finally released Destiny, a shared world, mythic sci-fi shooter that also happens to be one of the most anticipated video games of all time. As a cross between an FPS and an MMO, there is naturally somewhat of a learning curve for new players as they discover the world and figure out how the various modes and gameplay mechanics work. As such, everyone’s experience during the first few hours of Destiny will be very different, as each person figures out their play style and becomes accustomed to the universe.
So, as part of VGW's coverage of Destiny, several of the staff have written short journals that explore our impressions of Destiny, based on experiences during the game's first week. We all have different views, so if you're on the fence about picking the game up, read on.
