A very interesting tidbit has come to light regarding the Wii U version of Super Smash Bros.
wow!!! Finally a connectivity for those two consoles!!
I think Monster Hunters did the same thing. but it is "wow!!!" they should continue doing this too- because unlike the Gamepad the 3DS have it's own processing power.
Monster Hunter didn't use the 3DS as a controller, it let you play multiplayer with both the 3DS and Wii U player in the same lobby.
Looks Like I have enough controllers for 4 player co-op now !
I hope this is the tip of the iceburg. I would love an Animal Crossing-esque game to play on the road and on console. Take your character on the road and do some grinding, come back to the console and upload your righteous Hero for some more gameplay. This could be solid gold if Nintendo does it right.
But wont its controls be inferior to a pro, gamepad, or gamecube controller? This is cool and hopefully more connectability comes down the pipeline but I think the 3DS controls would detract from the wii U experience unless you have the circle pad pro attachment.
I dont recall using dual analog in SSB, so I dont think the circle pad pro would help you there.
Um i used both of them on the pro controller for wii and for GC to attack and jump. Perhaps you played a different game? Smash Brothers has always used the c stick or a second thumb stick accept for N64 but it still utilized the c arrows. Not to mention the lack of two sets of bumpers or triggers that this game is bound to use that are not on the 3DS currently
I Dont think so. Smash controls are pretty simple and only use a few buttons. But if this is the start of something bigger it'll only be a few months before the Super 3DS releases and be equal to the gamepad without the HD
Yeah you are probably right. I mentioned that in another post. Target is advertising those special edition 3DS systems that look really sweet but i would rather save the money and get the New 3DS instead of buying one of those right now.
Then don't use your 3ds as a controller...
I won't be using it like that but its great that Nintendo is giving people more ways to play the game. Having options is a good thing.
Interesting. Maybe this ability to use a 3DS as a controller will be patched to past releases.
Good that there's some connectivity but no thanks it'll be the gamepad or a classic controller.
