Examiner.com spoke with Kevin Stephens, who is the head of Monolith Productions, about a 2014 Game of the Year contender, Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor.
Idk who Monolith is but this game if done right could put them on the map.
Couldn't agree more. The one concern I have about this game is it's controls. That's the one thing that could trip them up. Otherwise, this has the makings for a great franchise.
You guys kidding right? Monolith made No One Lives Forever, F.E.A.R., and Condemned: Criminal Origins (one of my all-time favourite games). They've made a couple of stinkers but many really solid and high quality games, with a couple of brilliant classics in there. (If it's the same Monolith). They're great when they have the right direction. And it looks like Shadow of Mordor will have great direction.
It's the same Monolith :) They are using the updated Lithtech engine which has been used for most of their games since NOLF1. Cant wait to play :)
Mark my words..., this game will be damn good! Day One w/ Season Pass for me.
Same. It's kinda sad that no one seems to be paying attention to this game. I mean everything about it is really cool and interesting and yet I don't see it getting the time it needs for people to even know that it's gonna be more then just another cheap Lord of the Rings game. I really hope once it comes out and word of mouth spreads that the game does really well cause it looks awesome and it would be cool to see what could be done in the future with a franchise like this.
I have a feeling this will be a very good game. Hope they fixed the climbing.
The game I'm most excited about this year.
Could this game really be a dark horse sleeper hit GotY I contender? hope it's that good.
Thing is I'm getting a Batman Arkham Asylum vibe from this game, love both Lores, and this could be the game to take its mantle for amazing liscensed games...
Im cautiously optimistic.
I think this game is going to be a sleeper hit. It will surprise alot of people.
