Rockstar has announced the release dates and new content for GTA V on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
Helllllllllllo! Just in time for Christmas bundles?
A little later than I had hoped....but AWWWW YEAHHH, hype levels rising. Day 1!
yup, i was expecting late october for me.
YEAH I'M HYPED AS F***!!! DAY1!! GTA5 PS3/X360 - GOTY 2013 GTA5 PS4/XBone - GOTY 2014 GTA5 PC - GOTY 2015
remember those who own GTA5 on 360 can export their saves to PS4! Very good move for those who upgraded from 360 to PS4.
remember those who own GTA5 on PS3 can export their saves to XBO! Very good move for those who upgraded from PS3 to XBO. lol
They better add some Rock stations
@irish I was just typing that
@IrishSt0ner: why so salty? many 360 owners have upgraded to PS4 and it's good for them to know that they can still use the same save. PS3 owners buying X1 and not PS4? good one :D but thanks 4 the tip
@Irish Lol, those 5-10 people who went from PS3 to XOne you mean?
@ Irish Thats good to know. I bought GTA5 for the ps3 last gen. Good to know I can transfer my saves to the X1 version since thats the version im getting a long with other games for the system.
Planning to get the PS4 version.
sorry i have mistaken you for a fanboy who spam every article on multiplatform games that he will play on ps4 ....anyway enjoy the game
That's how you slowly build bubbles here, sadly.
Man... sane day as Far Cry 4... Big week!
Skipping that steam sale I see how it see rock star
They weren't going to Steam sale a title just released anyway.
PC release date is disappointing..
saving the best till last
seems like someone paid rockstar to delay pc version
Yeah, a little bit, but it's only two months. I have so many games to play between now and then and from my backlog that it really doesn't matter. They are just staggering the releases from worst to best. First they released the 360 and PS3 versions then they release the XB1 and PS4 versions and finally, saving the best for last, the PC version. ;-)
Watch it still run like crap with bad optimization and bugs.
It will sell millions on the first DAY. Well Far Cry 4 you've just been sent to your death RIP.
I actually think both will sell well in all honesty , I know for a fact 5 plus ppl I know will.
Far Cry has a great fanbase especially after far cry 3 so far cry 4 will still do well.
Have an x box 1, no PS4, but i will be getting this for my PC. I like to experiment with mods and this game would be great for it. My computer is high end so it will look great. Be interesting to see the improvements made for next gen consoles though. eonjay@ I didn't know that ok thanks for the info. Still getting it for PC, just going to wait for it to come out. Like you don't have to buy every game for console.
"Be interesting to see the improvements made for next gen consoles though." Trailer lands in about 25 minutes so you would have long to wait.
Don't get me wrong I think the PC version will be a blast with mod support. But please do not jump on board for the PC release right away. At very least wait a day or 2 after PC release. Let other people take the hit and see how it performs. Recently PC has been getting some real shoddy console ports. But since people keep buying developers will keep on doing it. Look at Dead Rising 3? Sure if you like it locked to 30FPS then the PC version is the version to get. But it is almost impossible to keep it above 60. Look at Totalbiscut's video on youtube. He has a stupid amount of RAM, GTX Titan, i7 CPU and yet had to lower some settings down and lower the graphics render down to 720p just to get it over 60FPS and he couldn't even keep it over 60 at times. Look at GTA IV for PC sure had some really good mods. But it was a mess on PC. Just because you have a high end PC don't assume every new PC game will play great on it. I wish it was the case I have a decent PC my self. But recently all we seem to get is unoptimized console ports. So again I suggest at least wait a few days after the PC release. Buy it on Xbox one and enjoy it. Then if the PC version turns out to be the best version then you can always sell the XB1 version and get it on PC right? You have a Newcastle picture as your avatar so am going to assume your from the UK? Keep a eye on CDkeys.com they usually sell brand new (legal) PC keys for stupidly cheap.
What's your point? 99% of the games in my PC library run absolutely fantastically. The few that don't run optimally still run and look better than any of the versions I could get for my consoles. I can honestly say that I have NEVER bought a multiplat for my PC and then thought "crap, I should have bought it for my console instead".
My point is if I am paying stupid amount of money for the latest GPU or CPU or what ever. I want my games to show why I paid all that money for new parts. Take Watch_Dogs for example I was going to get that for PC. Then the reviews came out it didn't run terrible but it didn't look a million miles better than the PS4/XB1 version in fact there was hardly any difference in it other than the FPS. So instead of paying £30 for Watch_Dogs on PC then being stuck with it. I paid £40 for it played it. Enjoyed it played my friends online then sold it for £35. So I paid in total £5 to play Watch-Dogs and complete it. Same with Dead Rising 3. Again does not look all that much better than the XB1 version. Yet my PC cost me almost £600 I expect it to look better than my PS4 and One games by a big margin and also play better but sadly these console ports simply don't. Am praying GTA V is fully optimized and takes full advantage of Intel,AMD,Nvidia hardware I really do. I rather have GTA 1080p 60FPS than 1080p 30fps. Will this be the case? I don't know.
Nonsense. Just because you aren't perceptive or discerning enough to see the differences doesn't mean that they don't exist or that they aren't appreciated by many PC gamers. Even the worst running games still look noticeably better on PC. Watch Dogs on PC has better texture quality, better shadow quality and MUCH better anti-aliasing. Those things alone make it look quite a bit better, but then I also run it at 2048 x 1152 at higher framerates (or I cap it at 30fps for more consistency). And that's before getting into some of the mods. The other thing is, the PC version I own will be able to run and look better with each upgrade I do. The console version will always be stuck with 900p and crappy anti-aliasing. Heck, both next gen console versions have some screen tearing as well, which I hate with a passion. Luckily it's pretty rare, but it's still there. So, nah, I'll stick with the PC versions. I'm fine with you playing on whatever platform you like, but don't try to stealth bash the PC with faulty reasoning.
Stealth bash? Faulty reason's? No these are just my opinion and I am allowed them. If I want to bash PC then I can. If you want to bash consoles then fine no problem. In my opinion PC gaming is not what it use to be. A few years back you would pay £500-£600 and PC games would run and look so much better than consoles. Like Battlefield 3 for example. These days sure PC will have better FPS. But in terms of graphics quality there is not enough there for me to go and spend a stupid amount of money on new PC upgrades so I can have them look a little better than the XB1 or PS4 versions. The thing is am not even bashing PC gaming. I simply prefer console gaming as there is not much of a difference in my opinion. Maybe in a few years when 4K is pretty much standard for everyone. Then once again PC will become my chosen platform. Don't get all but hurt because I prefer console gaming and don't think PC titles don't look all that much better than the XBone and PS4 versions.
