The Daily Five: Things I Dislike About Destiny

"Destiny is an amazing experience. There is a lot to do, a lot to see, and a lot of killing to be had, but despite all of the great things that Destiny provides, there are still a lot of shortcomings as well. If Bungie had been a small-time developer, these would be things that I would overlook, but coming from the minds that brought us Halo, not a chance." - David Wales, Stealthy Box

Really these are personal opinions
Thank you scotty, save the clicks for people.

ScottyHoss1139d ago

1. Lack of Loot Variety
2. Repetitive Territories
3. Mission Déjà Vu
4. No Direction
5. The Lore Is Played Out

Nobody give this site any clicks, listed here. They want everyone to go through 5 pages... On topic these are opinions, but understandable if you play by yourself, only some of them though. Still loving this game

Have to agree I am really enjoying the game but I never allowed myself to get drawn in to the hype. The game has to be played cooperatively to really get your moneys worth.

ScottyHoss1138d ago

Couldn't agree more my friend, single player is easier feeling to me and more predictable AI wise and really doesn't capture the essence of the game. I wasn't interested in the game at all until the beta, after watchdogs hype just isn't worth it.

My son and I play this game together and we are having fun. Isn't that what's important? I have not played alot of online shooters because PvP is not my thing. But the the co-op in this game makes my purchase worth it. These are just a couple things I like.

1. I love the gameplay , tight responsive controls.
2. The online co-op is fun and works great.
3. The graphics are great , crisp and clear.
4. I actually like the lore.
5. Leveling up is fun.

Just my opinion.

Just wondering, have you heard of the group "Dad's of Destiny"? Apparently they do father and son teams of 6 for strike missions and stuff if you would be interested (I got no kids, just saw it on bungie.net and thought it was relevant)

vikingland11138d ago

No I haven't heard of that group. It sounds neat I will check into it. Thanks for the heads up.

Lack of loot is a legitimate gripe, and I also get the gripe about the lack of direction, very little is explained, and you have to fumble around to find things out.

It's a decent enough game, lots of fun to play (so far), but doesn't bring anything new to either genre.

Emperors new clothes.........

The person writing the review says that 'its the on line Borderlands'......Borderla nds is online!
He might have quite legitimate gripes with the game but it won't stop me from enjoying it. My only gripe with the game is how everyone is arguing about it!

DavePSU1139d ago

Borderlands has online co-op, but doesn't have online MP PvP like Destiny does.

Budobear1139d ago

Fair point....though you could duel in Borderlands

Ghost_Nappa1139d ago

So you see a problem with people having differing opinions on Destiny?

Budobear1139d ago

No not at all, its all the name calling and nonsense that goes along with it. A reasoned debate and disagreement is great, love it. Yah, this games suckz and if you like it your just drinking Bungie cool-aid, I don't like and unfortunately thats all I seem to see at the minute.
