So we spend hours and hours gaming, but WHY?
Because reality sucks.
Joking aside, I think for many that's about it. Life sucks in many peoples opinion and most seem to agree that it gives them a chance to break away from day to day life stress and boredom (depending on your life)
Because everyday life is lame. No need to wait in lines, no traffic, no imbeciles, no needless social interaction, no mannerisms etc.
To give me a break from strumming my pink banjo.
play that funky music...
The thing that pisses me off is the lack of understanding outside the gaming community. People who don't game just give us all such a bad stigma.
There are many reasons why people game, but usually to escape from reality for a bit and because it is fun.
experiences, adventure, fun, entertainment, moments that make nostalgic memories,
I've experienced a lot of beautiful and great times only gaming can give. I'm glad I found the light :-D
In 1984 i was bought ZX Spectrum+ Aged 6 since them its in my blood.
because life is not only about real life. Its about having fun
Because its who and what we are!! As mentioned by Chi3f other than our so called "group" we are stigmatised and weird geeks who one day flip and go on a killing spree!!
For me and i'm going to be Honest here.I game because i'm single and i plan on keeping it that way forever.Gaming for me is a substitution of companionship...
Gaming relieves stress and it gives entertainment.. Especially when we play games with fan service?.. True, right?.
To zone out and enjoy a game , escapism at it best imo. I enjoy my life , but its nice to have some time to myself and have fun in another setting/world
