Forza Horizon 2 has appeared on the Xbox Live Marketplace and we also have the install size for the game.
Oh dear lord, that's almost as much as Destiny. In a racing game. We really need that 1TB hard drive...
thankfully the xb1 supports external drives
Damn, forgot about that
You need an external, 1TB isn't going to be enough either. These games are becoming 20GB and up, and adding the free games from G4G and PS+, as well as the digital games you buy separately from those services, and you're looking at filling up your hard drive by 2015.
Ya no kidding.. Pretty sure wolfenstein and forza were both 40gb.. Glad I got my 3tb.. 23 games plus most apps and only 10.7% used :D
Plus EA Access & X1 free game trial weekend
Add in the EA access and you are gonna be out of storage by the end of the year. I've just ordered a 2tb external off Amazon.
you can go up to 16TB if you can find an external HHD at least 8TB as you can use 2 usb ports for external storage
Forza five is free this weekend for gold members
I play a lot of games, but rarely do I play enough games simultaneously where HDD space would be an issue. However, I'm getting at least 8 Xbox One games between 9/9 and the end of the year, so I'll likely be using a very large chunk of that 500GB HDD.
Good thing there's an external hard drive option that's easily done!
i guess im the only one who thinks having a hard drive sitting around is kinda ugly...
Dear lord, that's a small size. It's normal to see that on PC games. I'm used to it and 500gb hdd is more than enough. If you get full, delete a game. Not like you're playing all those games every week...
Does anyone know if you can save and install games on a USB flash drive on the XB1?
it needs a 256gb usb3 and up
you're gonna need a bigger boat http://apples4teachers.file...
Similar size to Forza 5, makes sense. 36GB
There will be more music and more variety in the environment, over 200 cars, with Forza 5 detail quality. FM5 with all DLCs is over 40GB. So it will probably be the same in the end for Horizon 2. Keep it coming tho.
Now, I'm really dreading the install on open world games like Assassin's Creed, The Phantom Pain, and the next Grand Theft Auto. This is comparable to launching a 20GB model PS3, but external HDD support is there so I can't say it's as bad. Makes you wonder if physical HDDs are even practical anymore. We may be cloud surfing sooner than we think.
LOL. This guy obviously does not have very good knowledge of X1. "this is not a surprise considering most Xbox One games have been hovering at that size range" I went and looked through the marketplace. There are only 5 games that have this install size or bigger out of 65+ that have shipped to date. That is 7% of all games now constitute a "most games"? wtf?
