Bandai Namco announced today that Captain Earth: Mind Labyrinth is in development exclusively for the PlayStation Vita, scheduled for release on February 26th in Japan.
Few questions; Is he our hero? Can he take pollution down to zero? Is he our powers magnified? And lastly, is he fighting on the planet's side?
you know Captain Earth was the turning point where American cartoons started to suck with focus on messaging instead of good adventures, hated that show sooooo much
Depends what you were watching. Spongebob, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Fairly Odd Parents, and many others certainly don't rely on messages. South Park does...but it's freaking incredible.
Captain Planet, but, yeah. It wasn't great by any means.
Think you mix a Japanese anime up for a American cartoon. This a anime about a boy protecting earth like his dad did, just with a mobile suit.
What other cartoons even fill that description? Animaniacs, Tiny Toons, Batman TAS, Spiderman, X-Men and many more came out after or around the same time, and they were damn good shows that didn't rely on messages. Anyway, glad to see another game for the Vita that apparently has no games at all. I really don't get that. It'd almost be nice if it really did have no games, cuz then I might be able to squeeze them all into the little time I have now that I'm back in school. Who would have thought just three classes would fill up that time left over from a 40 hour job? ...I hope I have time to play Destiny...
@OmegaShen Yes sorry! "Planet" not "earth" It was the action shows that went down the drain, before that it was classic stuff like Transformers, Thundercats, the 80s were great, in the 90s Japanese anime filled the action/adventure hole, the only good stuff in America was Batman and DC shows.
Do you think he's someone else?
An off-brand Captain Planet?
Love the sudden wave of vita exclusives!
Vita has gotten more games than ever ever since being declared "dead", it's like a zombie.
TGS is going to be really great for vita fans, especially if you like jrpg lol
That's some zombie.
This trailer showed no gameplay :/ Is this a movie, digital graphic novel or something? Useless trailer, just an announcement and some anime cut scenes.
well it didn't say Gameplay trailer now did it ? :)
Ok anime, I betting it it will have mobile suit fights (going by the anime). But besides that, I think they might add a like system to get other characters to like you. But yeah
Anime is cool. Not a must watch but so far it's pretty enjoyable.
Ps vita keeps getting better
Man i am so happy to see developers putting the Vita's power to good use and making all of these Anime Jrpg games. I mean did you see how amazing that footage looked? (All sarcasm) I need more games like Tearaway and Fez. This crap here is getting old to me. Vita is becoming a JRPG machine. That is ok because I understand that the vita is selling like mad mainly in Japan. So naturally they are going to cater to that portion of their install base. But everyone in the West needs a dam bone thrown our way at some point please. I am ready for some good action RPGs or a full 3D adventure game or even another shooter. I love my Vita so far but I am craving more and this cartoon trailer is not it.
"I am ready for some good action RPGs or a full 3D adventure game or even another shooter" Ok than you can wait for: - Tales from the Borderlands - Helldivers - Freedom Wars (i think western gamer who love action RPG + shooter will like this) - Gravity Rush 2 - new Ys
so I read the comments then watched the video... wtf are you guys even excited for? there was ZERO gameplay and the anime was mediocre.... you are just desperate for vita games lol
MORE RPGs!!!!!! AS LONG AS THEY DONT SUCK THEN YES!!!
anime was ok. I will keep an eye on this. Would like to see a game for Aldnoah.Zero instead.
I LOVE PS Vita <(^O^<) <(^O^)> (>^O^)> !
Nice go japanese!
So... are they trying to sell me a game, or the anime?
