This game still looks last gen even in 1080p, But it looks fun at least.

Nice subtle trolling. Trying to minimize the game just because it's not on your favorite Sony console is kind of lame. This game isn't the best we've seen, but it definitely doesn't look last gen. The 360 or PS3 would choke trying to run this game.

actually when i clicked though to youtube the best setting it offered was 720p,which was before the post was aproved also.
oh and army of darkness got find a bridge

The port doesn't seem to be very good, it has a 30FPS cap that can be removed but even then it doesn't work very well. The game just doesn't scale to very high end hardware.

Hardly surprising though, seems a little bit rushed and the focus was clearly on the console version. Quick buck PC version confirmed.

Saying that though 1080p with a rock solid 30FPS seems fairly easy to achieve with a good quad core and a GTX760. Which is a massive upgrade on the Xbox One version that only managed 720p and needless to say, with a less than steady framerate....

High end PC gamers will not be happy, but everything is relative.

The Xbox One version framerate was pretty damn steady. The only issues I had was pop-ups in the save rooms.

On Xbox One the framerate is very variable often down into the low 20's. Well below 30FPS for long periods if there is an area with a lot of zombies about. So just a rock solid 30FPS would be welcome.

The PC game does run with the cap off, but sometimes variability is not best for consistent control response. Few systems can max this game to 60FPS and hold it there, even high end ones struggle. So the cap has benefits.

Either way it matters nought as long as your system sustains 30FPS, higher end ones can do more but struggle to achieve that magical 60FPS performance. By the look of it, down to the quality (or lack thereof) of the port.

Why won't we be happy? I don't expect them to redo the game entirely for PC, so long as it runs without crashing I'm fine.

What's wrong to asking for a decent port? Seriously the minimal requirements for this game ask for a NVIDIA GTX 570 / AMD Radeon 7870 or higher which is pretty bad, also to remove the 30 fps cap it takes you less then a minute to go into the documents and change a line of code so why couldn't they put that into the in-game menu?

a lot of people are reporting crashes nearly every 5-10mins, i just gave up after 5 continuous crashes redoing 10mins of progress over and over again. waiting for patch now.

The Xbox one has equivalent to a 7790, not a bad card

It's closer to a 7770 Ghz edition.

Xbox One has 768 shaders 48 TMUs and 16 ROPs @ 853mhz.

7770 GHZ has 640:40:16 but it runs faster @ 1000mhz, which would make it extremely close to Xbox One's GPU core in fillrates. Potentially it might just edge it too, as the 16 ROPs performance would be boosted by the extra core speed.

7790 has 896:56:16 running @ 1000mhz. Reality is it'll have considerably superior texture fillrate to the console GPU.

The game is not properly optimized, maybe the devs rushed it to market. To be able to cover the loses of this multi-million dollar budget game.

Graphics look fine just wish they would fix the clunky gameplay. Was my only real complaint with the X1 version.

Yeah it seems Capcom just cashed in on this one. It moves archaic. WTF with not being able to run up a windshield and on to the roof of a car. You have to jump on the roof? Silly even for a last generation title and IMO unacceptable in this new generation.

I watched this whole video and it was jittery and had panning and scaling issues. On a decent PC this game should runs flawlessly without those issues. Just another in a long line of poorly optimized games for the PC.

I hope this isn't a trend this generation. Disappointing.

It didn't run well on console, it runs better on PC but it's still not great. Keep in mind the xbox one has basically a 7790 and it couldn't run it well at all.

Xbox One looks the damn same! I expected a monumental difference here since its PC an all.

Well, the PC version can run with more than twice the resolution @ twice the minimum framerate in areas where the Xbox One version struggles.

Considering that's a 4x performance improvement then and the Xbox One hardware itself is barely 9 months old I would say that is a rather monumental difference so early into a new console generation.

This is despite the fact the port is pretty rushed and doesn't seem to have had much love.

The game drops constantly below 50fps with a TITAN so you'd need to have a pretty ridiculous PC.. poor developing.

Nice to see people disagreeing with facts again. Totalbiscuit demonstrated it in his Dead rising 3 - PC report video that the game has pretty dramatic framerate drops even though his PC is VERY high end..

When the framerate of the 1280 x 720 Xbox One version is proven to drop into the low twenties, often as low as 18-20FPS in areas of heavy load, more than twice the resolution @ 1920 x 1080 and just 40FPS minimum is a massive, massive performance improvement any which way you look at it. Easily 4x.

It's relative as I said. The PC performance is by no means great, but then it still makes Xbox One's performance seem horrific by comparison.

Xbox One has also had it's massive patch, which did not improve performance, the game is as good as it is ever gonna get on Xbox One now.

PC however has yet to have a couple driver iterations and tweaks that will probably just enhance the performance of the game over time. This is pretty much inevitable for this game.

For the rest of eternity DR3 will still run quite poorly on Xbox One, but in 12 months tops software updates and improved hardware will mean it'll run a piece of cake on PC.

This is why a game like this is always going to be better on PC, if not sooner then later.

That's how it is.

Well yeah, that's the least you'd expect when your GPU alone costs 3 times more than the whole console? At the moment, the port is a mess and that was my point...

Xbox One is what, $400 without kinect?

A $300 GPU (aka GTX770) can comfortably do this 1080p/30 locked out which is more than double the resolution and 50 percent better minimum framerate.

So hardly 3 times the price now is it...
