"With the Phonics method becoming ever more prominent in schools across the UK, for parents, Phonics Fun could just be the ideal way of merging gaming and reading together." - Nintendo Feed
NWR:
"Based on the Oxford Reading Tree books, Phonics Fun with Biff, Chip and Kipper Vol. 3 is a piece of educational software available at retail in Europe. The goal of the title is teaching children to improve their English by reading and listening exercises. This simple concept has been wide spread in the United Kingdom and adapted to almost 80% of schools in the country. The books are somewhat known in Europe, but never made as much impact outside the U.K. Is this new interactive version going to make a bigger buzz?"
Mick Fraser: It seems odd that so many games on the 3DS are aimed at children, yet so few of them are entirely educational. They exist, of course, but are less hyped than your Mario Karts and Castlevanias for obvious reasons. Learning, no matter how schoolteachers like to dress it up, is rarely as much fun as squishing goombas, winning first place or saving the world.
NLife:
"Every parent wants the best for their child, but sadly trying to coax them away from their toys and towards something educational can be a feat of itself, especially with young children. Phonics Fun with Biff, Chip & Kipper: Volume 1 features characters from the Oxford Reading Tree curriculum books in a title that they will develop with as they go through school."
