...since we're nearing the END of the Playstation era. ;)

meh... we all had one and most of us enjoyed it. now things are different. some of us grew out of console games and into PC games. others grew to hate it due to past experiences, but some are still believers/loyalist. at the end of the day, it's just a video game machine, don't get too passionate about defending or bashing it.

The PS1 came along when we really needed a change from Nintendo, and their insistence on enforcing their cartridge based proprietary format. Licensing fees weren't enough for them, they had to make royalties off the N64 cartridges to. This along with their reluctance to support (M) rated titles was there downfall. As George Santayana said "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it."
