Warframe Launches on Xbox One

This game can get addicting if you can get pass the learning curve. I put in about 180hrs until they nerfed the crap outta my nova, frost, and trinity

What did they nerf on Nova?

They basically made M. Prime to where instead of instantly priming all enemies in the range of the attack, it now has a wave that slowly expands (based on your duration % from mods) to prime enemies.

That's my problem with the game. I downloaded it on the PS4 over the weekend and I think I need to spend more time with it.

Being a free game it's easy to pick it up and put it right back down because you didn't pay for it. I'll give it another shot.

Have fun. It's awesome. Everyone has been bitching about games on the PS4. But w/ DCUO, FF14 and Warframe, I've been busy since launch w/out putting a disc in. Warframe is really good too, especially if u hav a few friends to n play with. It's looks so good and gets regular content patches.

A buddy of mine told me this game is bad, but every gameplay vid I've seen has been decent. If it's really F2P without any rip off tactics I'll download it on XB1

i will go ahead and tell you, you can grind and obtain everything in the game without spending a single penny, even selling mods, prime parts to obtain plat to buy slots, although if you want to obtain something quickly you can buy plat to do so.

they ruined it for me when they nerfed the attack speed card and took away the charge attack from the galatine. there's no reason to use the galatine anymore...

but i liked the galatine's unique charge though. not to mention it felt more badass to be wielding a sword of the galatine's size with that much speed. now it's slow and cumbersome by comparison which makes it feel less satisfying to use. i like how the melee has it's own stance now, but the attack speed nerfs were way too much, imo. i would have preferred them to nerf the firearms over what they did to the melee weapons.

It's an ok game considering it is free 2 play. Dance Central Spotlight is also in the store now and it is great, plus only 9 dollars. Harmonix just makes fun games!

It could be a good game if it didn't have an awful business model. It has one like a dumb mobile or Facebook game. The construction time on suits and weapons can last days (real-time) or you spend real money and it's pay to win. It's not a good model like Smite and Loadout have. Might as well buy Destiny or get ME3 cheap.

I do agree and it's unfortunate b/c games like this and DCUO get ruined b/c while u can get everything yourself, u almost feel pressured to keep up. And since u didn't pay a dime up front, u feel obliged to buy a few things...and then u get hooked.

How is it pay to win? The focus isnt even on pvp. I never spent a dime I own most weapons and warframes I care to. I wonder how many weapons and warframes have you made? Complain about build times when people spend money on the things you're building for free? I justt dont understand some people. I highly recomend warframe to any fan of co-op or third person shooters.

I hear ya. I have 100% trophies in it and haven't paid to win anything. It's just grindy is all, but a free weekend with the free ps plus booster pack did wonders for me.

The new UI on the hub has thrown me for a bit of a loop, but I recommend xbox players try it for themselves. Bit of a learning curve but once you get it, it's pretty addicting. I was pleasantly surprised

This is FAR from pay to win. What are you winning? Pay to build fast...yeah. Pay to expand weapons and frames slot...yeah. But, pay to win? If you are the type of person that has no patience, then this game will not be for you. Frames will take some time to build. Weapons will take some time to build. But, there really isn't an incentive to pay to speed it up, unless you just can't wait to use them. Everything in the game, aside from aesthetic options, can be obtained in-game. It's just a matter of time and patience.

Maybe I should've said pay to play considering they give you the worst 2 or 3 suits for free, who are really lame,then you spend days collecting parts for the good frames and days real-time waiting for it to build.

Out of principle I won't support F2P games with this silly mobile game format. I'd rather pay $20 or $30 for all other characters, but one hero used to cost over 12 dollars. In Smite you get over 50 characters for $30. In Path of Exile, Loadout, etc you're only paying for cosmetics. Warframe has a bad business model if you're used to F2P games.

Okay. I understand your your complaints better now. I will say, though, that if they give you the choice of Volt instead of Loki as one of your choices, you are getting a pretty powerful choice. Each of the starter frames (Mag, Excal, Loki or Volt) has good utility. You really just have to learn how to use them. None have great room clearing ability (aside from Volt), but they do have crowd control ability. Plus, Mag and Volt's shields scale extremely well. But, to each his own I guess.

My quick observation. Its Space Ninja Destiny, possibly bigger and free to play. I believe you can also play solo mode with no XBLG. I like what I played but man there's a steep learning curve compared to Destiny.

You dont need to. Character slots and weapon slots are the only thing you cant make or get witbout plat.

A very confusing game, couldn't figure out what to do, how to do it, or where to go. I just play every stage as it comes. If the whole game was as the introduction was it would've been even more epic.

It is really, really a game that you need to do some research to understand completely. I suggest the wiki, as it gives you just about everything you need to understand. Being brand new, it's hard to really get it right away. Plus, weapons and frames don't start to shine until you learn how to mod them correctly...and for each faction. If you actually like it, I suggest maxing out your frame (reach level 30) so that you can see the full potential. Also, at least trying one more frame that might suit your play style a bit more. It's not a game that is easy to judge in an hour or two. Simply because you can't see hardly anything in the game in that time.

As a pretty avid player, I did a review several months ago. Note, this is before the newest updates that changed the UI and added at least 2-3 game modes. Been playing this game on my pc for a longtime. Glad its on the x1 now so I can play with friends. I just wish you could transfer accounts between the two systems

I've put a lot of time into warframe on PC. I downloaded it on the Xbox one today but I don't want to start over. Here's hoping PC to Xbox transfer comes quickly.
