Nintendo has revealed the lineup for their first 12 Amiibo figures coming out for the 2014 holiday season. We’re impressed by both the figures and packaging design.
Loving the level of detail on these figures! :D
Not into collecting things, but this can be a huge seller for Nintendo, especially Pokemon figures. A Pokemon Skylanders type game could be huge for Nintendo with these figurines.
Beautiful. I'm not going to want to take mine of out that packaging!
Getting some this holiday for sure. Link most likely first.
DK rules!! Seriously, his Amiibo is awesome!
I seriously like the way they're all in different poses, some not even touching the ground. It adds extra character.
Kudos to the artist(s) for having stellar craftsmanship with these figures.
Even if I didn't have a Wii U, I'd still buy these.
These are well done, but how much content do they give you in the games? I don't want to have to spend $12 a pop for these suckers if I don't have to.
Allows you to customize characters and save them on the figures. You can use your powered up characters on your friends copy of the game. Oh and the craftsmanship of the figures alone is worth the money.
And each figure is going to be compatible in multiple games. Smash, Mario Kart 8, Yoshi's Wooly World, etc...
And..... ordered them all.
This looks very good for a $12 figures and make me want to buy a SHF Mario and Figma Metroid from my local shop. To bad i'm a bit broke right now :(
The packaging looks great and so do the figurines I just can't understand how they wouldn't allow the same one to be used for various games? I'm not into toys but i'm sure these would look great as a collectors item ;)
They are allowing the same one for various games. That's the point of them.
I think I'm going to have to buy two of each, so I can keep one in its packaging :D
I'm getting at least two; one of Link and one of my Mii.[if they allow the custom orders thing they talked about in the future] The fact that these Amiibos level up beyond the NPC cap of 9 in Smash Bros, up to a level of 50, means they're going to be much more challenging and thus really fun to train against.[especially since they LEARN AND ADAPT TO THE PLAYER...]
