There’s just something about the idea of a sentient house that’s always appealed to me. Not necessarily in a good way, but in the same way as reading about UFO sightings or Bigfoot encounters. I’ve always been fond of the idea of things that exist in the shadows and back-roads of human civilization. Unsurprisingly, then, Neil Gaiman is one of my favorite authors."
