Shuhei Yoshida: VR Technology 'advances every month'

VRFocus - Despite its showing at multiple events throughout the year, the Project Morpheus virtual reality (VR) head-mounted display (HMD) for PlayStation 4 is far from complete. In fact, neither Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) nor Oculus VR with its Oculus Rift VR HMD have revealed final, consumer-designed builds of their kits at this point in time. There are a number of reasons for this, including the need to include the best technology for the best VR experience. And according to SCE’s head of worldwide studios Shuhei Yoshida, that technology ‘advances every month’.

It sounds like a lot still but I think 250 is the sweet spot. It's expensive never been done before tech that might just run off wireless hdmi a long with an OLED screen. For a premium product like that I have no problem paying that price but again it has to be cheap enough for mass consumers to take hold of..Pretty tricky and interesting to see how it all pans out.

I remember going down to a local hang spot and paying to use a VR machine was padded circle you got into , gloves, and the VR headset. Was cool then, we've come so far now in the technology, I can't wait. Will I buy a PC one or PS4 one that will be the choice('! ')

Can you at least throw Vita owners a bone and fund GTA. Hell it could just be a remake of the PSP ones.

I was lucky and held off on 4 until I played it in VR. It really is pretty awesome - you'll love it.

The icing on the cake would be if Sony / Valve allow for a Steam Link app much like it is for the Quest 3. Likely wishful thinking, though.
