Turn10 Dan Greenawalt Interview Gamescom 2014

VVV: "In a surprise announcement at Gamescom, Forza Motosports Creative Director Dan Greenawalt took to the stage announcing yet more free DLC,. this time in the form of the Rolls Royce Wraith and the Formula E Renault Spark. Both of these announcements were extremely significant in the automotive world as well as the gaming world.

Rolls Royce have never been included in a game before. This represents an old and established brand, a sign of quality and excellence turning to the video game industry and recognising that potential. It’s testament to the development of videogame visuals and the evolution of technology that we see them making their first foray into the world of gaming.

This interview discusses the reasons and benefits, from visuals that accurately capture the acute attention to detail in production, to the potential benefits in the forms of car sales and awareness in marketing. The games industry is constantly growing and evolving. This is a significant step which could see a shift in the larger automotive industry taking notice." (Forza Horizon 2, Forza Motorsport 5, Xbox One)
