Make it a (Virtual) Reality: Grand Theft Auto

VRFocus - If there’s one franchise that could and should prove to be the ultimate virtual reality (VR) sandbox, it’s Grand Theft Auto. Ever since Rockstar Games revolutionised videogames with 2001’s Grand Theft Auto III the series has remained a consistent example in how to let players run free in the world and have fun the way they want to. Imagine transporting those open worlds and countless activities to the world of VR. (Grand Theft Auto V, PC, PS4)

The game isn't meant to be seen from a first person point of view, thus breaking the illusion if some glitch or something happens.

I agree with Neixus.

- No first person
- you can't enter most buildings and homes
- 99% of NPC are randomly generated and has no personality or home or routine activities.
- you can't interact with small objects, only cars and weapons.

Skyrim is a much better choice!

So much death in skyrim so many falling mammoths

Except Skyrim is nowhere near as detailed or polished; it just has a pretentious amount of repetitive content (fetch quests much?) to supersede its flaws. You think any game like GTA would allow the player to scrutinize a myriad of objects? No, it would be nugatory for, let's see, having Trevor pick up a wooden plate. Besides, GTA would never have, or need first person. It'd be senseless, and completely awkward towards the game's core gameplay. It's always been third person.

Also, Skyrim doesn't have many buildings, whereas GTA has a proliferation of buildings since the game is instated with a city, alongside multiple towns. It'd be impracticable for GTA allowing the player to enter every building.

I always thought this when you left the game running and it went into a first person view by itself after awhile and you could just appreciate the world carrying on without your input.

I'd be happy to just visit the grand theft auto universe as a tourist in VR even if they stripped away most of the gameplay it would still be amazing just to walk about a full size city.

Could happen, think about it:

Grand theft auto Five (GTA V)
The people who made GTA are rockstar (R*)

Add R* to GTA V And you get GTA VR*
Take away the * and you get VR
VR means Virtual reality!

Coincidence? I think not!
