If there is one video that will make you a VR believer, then it’s undoubtedly the following one. YouTube’s ‘Betta Lines’ has shared a video showing Project CARS on Oculus Rift DK2, and boy does it look sexy. (PC, Project CARS)

I dont know how any one can not be excited about VR, I really cant wait till ps4 gets it too and playing something like elder scrolls with one would be amazing imo.

It's by far the most exciting thing happening in gaming in my opinion. I've used the DK1 Rift and even that is quite the experience. It's a game changer.

I can see how vr enhances the gameplay experience in racing games but not in any other games. I don't beleave realism in games are the future. New innovative gameplay experiences is what I beleave in. I'm not exited abour vr at all.

And you don't think that VR will spawn a whole host of innovative gaming experiences??!!

Elite Dangerous with my DK2 is the most immersive gaming experience I've ever had, and I actually bought it for racing sims :)

Does more immersive games mean better games? I don't play games because I want too escape from my life and live inside the game world. I play games because they are fun and I don't think more immersive games means more fun games. I don't think vr could make a mario game better or any other nintendo game (which is the types of games I play). Even though it might improve the gameplay in some way, it wouldn't be worth it because of the price and the disadvantage in practicality. But if you play games to escape life then vr will be awesome for you.

Not really clued up on VR are you?

One of the best, and for a Ninty fan, most nostalgic experiences so far is an Ocarina of time forest demo available for the Oculus Rift. 5 minutes inside that and I think you'd be a convert :)

I don't see why Mario games wouldn't work, Oculus have already demoed a 3rd person platformer. And if Mario and Nintendo franchises aren't about escapism I don't know what is?!

I'm super excited, because I finally got the email from Oculus that my DK2 shipped out and is expected to arrive on 8/25 (this Monday).... (girly squeal) eeeeeeee!!

Jealous, september for mine :(

Did you at least got the email that they've charged the remaining cost to your credit card? If you did, then it'll only be a week or so longer before the final shipping email is sent.

No I didn't :(
