MWEB GameZone writes: "French game publisher, Ubisoft, are planning to discontinue developing games for the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 over the next year or so citing the unexpectedly rapid sales of the new console generation."
Not surprised, the longer they keep making games for the old consoles the longer it takes people to move over to the new ones.
I hope soon.
I hope this is not the case, as Ubisoft games are so awesome and PS3/Xbox 360 owners should be able to experience them for at least another year.. :(
I would hope not; I happen to like seeing my PS3 get some life out of it, especially since the online is free.
Possibly. By next year we could see a combined PS4 and One sales at plus 30 million. Seems like a good point to move on
I hope they do abandon the past gen consoles and decide to start pushing the power of next gen consoles. No more holding back the PS4/X1 due to the limits of the 360/PS3. We already have games that arent going to look as good as they should have next year with The Crew which is a 360 game on X1 and PS4.
Don't care. Next gen is current gen.
I hope so. Cross gen games are holding the new generation back.
They NEED to! simple. Look at games like Watch_dogs etc, delayed and downgraded.
I wouldn't mind it. Its hard for next gen hardware to flex its muscles when developers design their games around last gen memory limitation. What developer seem to be doing so far is increasing the frame buffer and texture resolutions on next gen hardware resulting in a better but not visually distinct game on next gen.
All the cross gen games have sold only 25% or less on the last gen systems. It's not worth it to waste resources when they could focus on pushing their games harder for the current gen systems.
