Kingston HyperX Cloud Gaming Headset Review | Hardcore Gamer

Hardcore Gamer: "The gaming headset space is crowded. We have SteelSeries, Astro Gaming, Turtle Beach, Razer, Tritton and many others fighting for your attention, but we have a new entry in the industry from a long time PC manufacturer: Kingston. Kingston makes headsets?

Everyone makes headsets these days, and 99% of them suck.

Stick with normal stereo headphones from a recognized audio company like Sennheiser, Beyerdynamic, Shure, Grado, Audio-Technica, etc. and add a mod mic.

Much better audio quality. Much better Mic quality.

If you want a surround sound effect also, add a portable amp/dac that has Dolby Headphone functionality.

It is 10x better than the bulla$$ 7.1 (typically actually either 5.4 or 6.2) tiny junk driver headsets.

My personal recommendation if you can afford it is the Sennheiser HD 598s. They are almost universally accepted as the best headphones under $500 for gaming use. Add the Xonar U7 or other similar device and you have the holy grail of gaming audio. You will never look at another "gaming headset" again.
