Naughty Dog: “Bright Future” on PS4; Talk About Unlocking its Power, Uncharted 4, TLOU and Much More

There was no new information on Uncharted 4: A Theif’s End at Gamescom, but Naughty Dog hasn’t been completely silent, and they provided quite a lot of insight on their past and future in a lovely interview featuring Game Director Neil Druckmann and Lead Programmer Jason Gregory.

Good article. It is interesting to find out about how ND works and how the staff move from project to project.

ND is currently the best video game developer in the video game industry.

Please no Uncharted remastered. There has to be a TLoU2. Please implement the best gameplay elements from TLoU to Uncharted 4.

Uncharted games remastered won't make sense because the games ran fine on the PS3. TLoU's potential seemed to be stunted by the PS3 hardware, so the PS4 remaster made sense.

If a team of only 20 or so got this game running at 80FPS @ 1080p, I wonder what a team of 200 can do.

@Eonjay

800 fps?

If any1 can unlock the true powers of Ps4, its ND. One of the best existing today

I'd still say ONE of. Yes naughty dog so far has been unmatched visually and story wise but no dev is "the best". Naughty dog is definitely in the top 3.

I cannot live without Naughty Dog. I found them completely by accident while getting Uncharted. Then my brother got me Uncharted 2 which i proceeded to put 2 weeks of pure gameplay into the amazing and extremely balanced online as well as beating the game on every difficulty. Then I had to get Uncharted 3 of course, which was, what some say a step down. I enjoyed the story, but the online was not nearly as balanced as Uncharted 2s and so it threw me off. When TLOU came and started getting 10/10 from nearly every site I picked it up and was extremely happy to. It really was a masterpiece. When announcing Uncharted 4 I had what some call a nerd orgasm. I am so excited for the game! Since all of this has happened I am willing to follow Naughty Dog to the end of the earth and back.

I know this sounds cheesy but Naughty Dog is one of the reasons I'm think of myself as a gamer.

Holy crap how did i forget about Jak and Crash. I played all 3 Jaks and loved them but never got a chance to play Crash.

chrissx1345d ago

If so,u really have missed out on alot of classics by ND. Crash bandicoot 1 - 3, CTR, and Jak&Daxter 1-3 all amazing games by them. If u can, try them sometime :3

SoapShoes1345d ago

You should get the original Crash Bandicoot games off of the PS Store!

ninsigma1345d ago (Edited 1345d ago )

If you only just discovered them last gen you should check out the first three crash games and the Jak and Daxter series (which was remastered on the PS3) Those games are definitely worth a look.

Edit

woops, two above me beat me to it, maybe I should reload before I comment next time :P

The article stated that Naughty Dog is working on Uncharted 4 and their next big project which is in very early development. If it's not The Last of Us 2, then my guess is they will work on this after Uncharted 4. It seems customary now for teams to work on at least 2 projects at a time.

All I want from Naughty Dog is Savage Starlight....is that too much to ask? Give me sci fi...please.
