Meet the Developers: William Tan of Rocktastic Games Talks Space Sluggers and the Indie Gaming Scene

Recently at TwoDashStash, we covered Space Sluggers, a 2D multiplayer alien shooter/hack n’ slash RPG being made by an indie studio going by the name of Rocktastic Games. The game had been announced in the beginning of August and was even showcased at this year’s Gamescom and GDC Europe. However, the game really caught our attention and we wanted to find out a little bit more about Rocktastic Games and their crazy over-the-top shooter.

The studio is comprised of a small group of individuals who ascribe themselves as people who really like developing and playing video games. In their time together, Rocktastic Games have created a few casual mobile gaming titles and some commissioned projects here and there. Space Sluggers marks the indie studio’s debut into PC gaming, a goal that they have always wanted to achieve.

I had the opportunity to speak with the studio’s CEO, William Tan, to learn a little more about Space Sluggers and his team’s experiences and ambitions in developing the game.
