Frostbite has changed how we make games - Bioware

MMGN writes: Dragon Age: Inquisition developer Bioware has had its first experience with DICE's game engine, Frostbite. You might recognise the name as the driving force behind the Battlefield series.

Frostbite 3, the engine's latest version, features Destruction 4.0, which enhances in-game destruction significantly over the engine's predecessors.

The engine certainly felt at home driving a series like Battlefield -- it was, after all. created as an engine for shooters -- but how has it influenced development for Dragon Age: Inquisition?

The story is too old to be commented.

They should make a Little Big Planet/Project Spark type of playground game for Frostbite. Sounds like such a fun engine to play with considering all the physics features. Can't wait to see what Bioware does with it.

I hope the rumors are true about co-op multiplayer mode. When I watched one trailer a little while back, I thought the game was fully tactical, with pausing the screen nonstop. The action combat looks nice and fluid though, and way better than Elder Scrolls games. Maybe not as fast paced and smooth as Witcher 3, but still awesome for a game like this - especially if multiplayer makes it in there. I'll definitely buy this game if it has proper, fun co-op. Not to enrage rpg-ers that despise multiplayer and think it'll only ruin the experience of a story-based rpg. I just love multiplayer rpgs though. That's one of the reasons I was so into Secret of Mana.
