MGS 4 Muddles Through Limp Launch in Japan

TOKYO -- Metal Gear Solid 4 is now on sale in Japan, but in terms of launch excitement, it seems to have turned into a bust.

Mgs is going to be huge. just how huge...thats the question...sony need japan on board..if Mgs doesn't do it...white knight or something similiar can come quick enough...but I still can't see the ps3 failing, what with final fantasy, resident evil 5 and a whole host of others...its defo the price I think..

well there's been 2 blade attacks in the past 2 weeks.

It sold bulk on Amazon Japan. Mgs4 will do just fine, I predict 1.6 million copies sold this week. Next week 1.1 and then 700,000 for the 3rd week. All in all, on par with past MG games.

after the stabbing event last night!! who would sacrifice their life for a game?? certainly aint me!!

bad weather with some criminal attack sure did the trick to hurt sales, but those who is determined to buy it will buy during this week or next week for safety reasons!

It won't hurt sales only delay when those sales would happen slighty

Yea man the Japanese gaming market is really dying, its so much smaller now, and really success in America and Europe is much more important.
