Oculus Creator on VR Tracking Controls: 'No one has created a good solution yet'

VRFocus - While companies such as Oculus VR and Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) are currently busy perfecting the virtual reality (VR) head-mounted display (HMD), the question of just how to control these experiences remains a consistent issue. Plenty of companies have launched Kickstarter campaigns to fund unique input solutions for the Oculus Rift VR HMD, while SCE has refered to its own PlayStation Move controllers. But according to Oculus Rift creator Palmer Luckey, none of these make the cut.

The story is too old to be commented.

I always enjoy new tech but this sounds like a monumental problem and is my first sniff this may not pan out. I jumped on move/kinect and liked both but ultimately both hit the bargin bin, I will now listen to those who warned peripherals fail, and not buy OccRift/morph as an early adopter.

There are several VR gloves being developed. I hope one of them works well.

I think a sony move controller with an incorporated thumbstick, one in each hand, would be ideal for VR.

The move gives you accurate hand movement, the thumbsticks control movement within the 3d space, and the visor provides sight tracking - simples.
