Remember the fan remake of the original Metal Gear that was announced a few months back? Well, unfortunately, the project has been shutdown.

Even Hayter couldnt save them :(

Coincidentally, Konami only got them to stop working on this after they found out Hayter was involved. Before that, everything was magically okay.

That's a shame as it looked promising. I'd love to see a remake/reboot of Metal Gear 1 & 2 on the PS4.

Yes, sadly Kojima doesn't seem interested in it at the moment, but maybe another studio could do it.

I hit a brick wall in Metal Gear and seriously have no idea what the hell to do. I did a million things, rescued Grey-ay Fox and then did a few more things and now I'm sitting around artillery thick, heated heavy with a pocket full of keycards and no clue.

Just check Gamefaqs dude. MG1 and MG2 can get seriously tough at some points.

Looking up Faqs is a time paradox that game overs my spirit. But sometimes, ya gotta do, what ya gotta do.

This was actually a cool little trailer. Hopefully someday Kojima decides to remake Metal Gear completely on Fox engine

When will these fan projects learn to keep quiet until the game is made and available? Once it's out it can't be shut down so announce the game after and not before.
Never forget Chrono Resurrection...

Unfortunately, they're still in the learning process. Maybe some day people will realize, that working on projects like this is seen as a loss of profit.

You know , some of those projects not only are nearly impossible or will take years , but also are actually announced precisely to put some pressure on the dev/publisher , and tell him there is an actual demand for a remake/remaster .

Getting noticed would be exactly what some want , as absolute fans of a game or serie

Nyxus1307d ago

The project was initially approved by Konami.

So official remake confirmed?
