Is a Box the Tipping Point for Metal Gear Solid V?

"Coming into 2014, I couldn't be any more excited for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Why shouldn't I have been? The game looked amazing, seemed to play well in all the demos shown, and was going to put me back in control of Big Boss. What was not to love?" - Travis Tucker, Stealthy Box

Lol at the ps4 head at the end , i dont know what wrong the box , its just a game and kojima always had a twisted since of humour but its really funny and am glad the game is not all dark themed .

Fans of MGS are well aware of the box. It's an icon of the franchise.

Quite honestly, I wonder if the whole box stuff was even real. It looked really shoddy in the demo, and not up to the quality of the rest of the game.

I know Kojima likes to be silly sometimes in his games, but that was a bit much. So I have wondered if that whole demo was just a massive troll on his part in light of the Silent Hill announcement. That would be more his style than the insanely idiotic game play mechanics shown in that demo.

Porn magazines have been a usable item in MGS since 2. This is not shocking to see this in the game, it would be more shocking if it was gone.

Stop being so oversensitive, it's not offensive to either gender.

IF anything, and I agree that this doesn't mean jack to either gender, it says "hey look how easy to manipulate these dumb men are." It can't possibly be construed as an insult to women. It's just funny to watch an enemy get fooled by something that is so obviously fake, the box.

Knowing Kojima it will probably have a couple of gay guards where the pin ups have no effect...

Also, it's not sexist. Sexism is prejudice, stereotyping, or discrimination based on gender. A Cleaning product commercials that always show conservatively dressed women are more sexist, as they always stereotype women as the household cleaners.

All this is is objectifying sex, and I think both men and women are objectified a lot in in the media...and games. Entertainment medium purposely pick attractive people. How many chubby, short, balding, or unattractive male protagonists are there in games? None have bad bodies, in fact most are good looking with very fit bodies.

How come in games if the woman is voluptuous or doesn't represent the average woman it's sexist or exploitation, but if the guy is extremely fit, which is often the case, it's normal. 99% of male protagonists have a much better body than the average man

If you're offended by the boxes, you were never a Metal Gear fan and you don't deserve to be excited for this one. That's like being excited for the next MLB: The Show but wish it didn't have so many baseball players

Just about anything can be considered offensive to someone out there.

The whole offensive card is seriously getting worn out. If you don't like something about a game, and you dislike it enough to not want to buy the game, then don't buy it. No one is going to shed any tears over it. Certainly not me.

U are not a real mgs fan if you don't like the humour in mgs...kojima is known for putting rediculous humour in mgs...stop crying about things that are a mgs standard
