Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn getting free trial for Playstation 3 and 4

At the beginning of this month Square Enix released a free 14 day trial for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn for PC. Apart from that there was a "Recruit a friend" campaign, inviting former subscribers to come back for additional game time and exclusive rewards.

So far, interested console gamers had no way to try the game. According to an interview by German website Looki.de with Producer and Game Directer Naoki Yoshida at gamescom 2014 there will be coming a free trial of the game for Playstation 3 and 4.

A specific release date of the free trial console has not been mentioned. (Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, gamescom, PC, PS3, PS4, Square Enix)

My sub is ending for this in about 2 weeks. I wonder if I will get the 2 weeks free trial?

Eh, I just can't do it. Trying to get into Wildstar atm, but Carbine is making horrible choices. Very interested in the newest pvp bg, but ultimately FF14 is too slow paced for me and the class system wasn't as customizable as first appeared.

It is a really fun game though, but I can barely play 1 mmo, let alone 2.

Wish I still had time for MMORPGs. But the addiction to WoW and TERA and even SAMP RP Servers is too much for me, I cant control it and it takes over.
WoW was part of the reason I never finished college, Ive quit jobs for SAMP...sad I know but when Im hooked its like a drug. I darednt even try this one, I don't have much time anymore with work, kids etc.

@Tiqila Xbot? Sony Fanboy? Nintendrone? It doesn't matter. I think we can all agree that you are a total d-bag.
@Clown More power to you. Addictions of any kind are tough things to deal with, but it seems like you've got your priorities straight and that you've got everything under control.

you clearly seem to not have moved on because you seem to don't let an opportunity pass to report on your miserable life back in the days of your wow addiction.

There are people that need help but will never admit it and there are people that have no problems at all but cry for attention. You are one of the latter in my opinion. And if you are not, take my advice and move on and you will be fine soon.

@Major_Glitch Random? Words? Doesnt matter.

I'd argue that you could be at ease within FF14 .... but as the truly high end content is becoming a real grind , you might get sucked in too deep

I wonder if existing accounts still get free access. I was forced, due to my internet, to quit back in December :( I was one of the first statics on my server to clear coil turn 5... was so much fun!

im still not crazy about paying a monthly fee for a game when theres so many great games you only have to pay a one time purchase price for
Jubez187  +   465d ago
This is my first sub fee game, and it's worth it. Yea you can get those "great" games for 60, but they last about 15 hours on average. I've easily put 500+ in ARR and honestly, it's saved me money. No need to buy a lot of other games, just keep on going with ARR.
