Konami finally cares about Silent Hill

One of the most interesting reveals at Gamescom this year was the P.T. playable demo. Sony initially announced it and released it on the PlayStation Store, except it turned out to be a teaser for the new Silent Hill game, titled Silent Hills. To top that off, it’s being worked on by Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima and director Guillermo del Toro with Norman Reedus—most know him as Daryl from The Walking Dead television show—playing the main character. It seems that Konami is finally giving the Silent Hill franchise the attention it has so desperately been missing.

Nice to see Kojima also tackling something that isn't Metal Gear and with the help of one of my favorite movie directors! All of this news is exactly what I was hoping for!

I love Guillermo del Toro and most of his movies. The TV series The Strain is also amazing.

I can't wait to play Silent Hill and see what amazing things he brings to the franchise. :)

Yeah I'm glad Kojima is bringing his talent to other franchises. Now non-MGS fans can finally see what a genius he is. And with del Toro collaborating as well, I have high hopes for this game.

Now if they work on Suikoden again we will be golden.

My god; I would cry (literally) if they made a new game for the PS4.

Konami is streaming Suikoden at the moment

The Uk site recognises Suikoden Day with is on the 19th.

Some movement on the IP so I hope it is a good sign.

They started talking about silent hill a few months ago and we just got a new silent hill title.

Yes silent hill lost its charm over the years and it needs the attention if Konami wants it to be a big franchise.

Really looking forward to this since I haven't played a SH game since the original one and especially after playing P.T. which actually got me freaked out a couple of times.

All this is thanks to Kojima. Konami was being run into the ground, hoping PES and MGS carried them as far as possible first. Kojima stepped in and revived Castelvania and Silent Hill, what's next?

A friend already theorized that at some point , Kojima studios should just take over Konami , or buy it's freedom and the ips .

I said nonsense , but looking at the way things are going ...
