Will You Buy These Video Game Special Editions?

Christopher Buffa (Prima Games): For many consumers, $59.99 is the most they’ll spend on a video game. Others, particularly hardcore fans of different franchises, open their wallets a bit wider to own special collector’s editions that come with a variety of extras, from figurines to exclusive downloadable content and packaging.

Naturally, the rest of 2014 and early 2015 will play host to multiple bundles for different titles. Here’s what you’ll be able to pick up. (Assassin's Creed Unity, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Destiny, PC, PS3, PS4, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Wii U, World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor, WWE 2K15, Xbox 360, Xbox One)

Haha, that Witcher 3 collectors costs over 200 here in Australia. Still, I'm getting it, because I love the series!

The Witcher 3 Special Edition looks WICKED, that statue is all sorts of sexy. All the others I could live without, though Destiny's stuff looks nice, and I love art books and stuff that expands the game's story.

Nope, just the regular version, and getting on Steam because I can find it for cheaper than the console versions.

NO.

No. Used to be big into CEs/LEs but stopped. They're exploitative and usually just come with extra junk that sits around accumulating dust... I'd rather put the extra $ I would've paid for the CE/LE towards another game.

Only if I could afford it. Some of those collectors editions would be great to own.

I'm happy with buying the games - I don't have an interest in anything else.

if it has a steelbook and is under $100 a man will go for it if he is hyped for the game (Destiny counts for the LE because it was techincally 99.99)

A man will be buying the Witcher 3 steelbook on ebay separately as he did for Uncharted and Arkham Origins ($10 each)

The only collectors I will probably get is Witcher 3 on PC but I am still undecided.
