The latest title from Remedy, Quantum Break, had a closed door demo at Gamescom 2014 and Twinifinite discusses the possibility that a reference in the demo could mean that all of Remedy's titles share a single world.
Remedy is really a talented studio , they do deserve more spotlight and more be famous than they're.
This is a bit off topic but I noticed that you had "they're" at the end of your sentence and I have never seen that before even though it is grammatically correct lol sorry I had to share that. OT: I do agree, I have only played the Max Payne games and they pioneered bullet time, they sure have alot of talent.
Alan Wake on pc in 4k is beautiful, the ending of each chapter that fades into music is a touch that I dig. The rock band farm scene ranks as top gaming moments for me.
Ha, that'd be a cool surprise. Your playing QB ,and come across a TV that's playing an episode of 'Night Springs'!
With all the MP focus associated within X1 games. This game will be my get away from the online universe. So I can invest myself in Remedy's well crafted story. This sort of game is exactly what is needed for me.
If this is true, it makes me 10,000 times more interested in Quantum Break.
I hope they start working on Alan Wake 2 as soon as this is done
Max Payne share a universe with Alan Wake until the second game. In Alan Wake its hinted that Max is killed by a femme fatal.
No; Mona is killed in Max Payne 2. Sami Jarvi (Sam Lake)intended for Max Payne to be killed by an unnamed femme fatal (which is hinted at in Alan Wake).
Let me compare Quantum Break and The Order 1886: Both games are third person cover based shooters Both main characters have the ability to slow time Both games look spectacular Both games have cutscenes (QB has not only cutscenes but also TV show while The Order does NOT have TV show) However according to Xbox fans The Order is "a generic boring movie" WTF? EDIT: QB is being developed by a creator of legendary Max Payne The Order is being developed by a studio who used to make only PSP games
Double standards, but it doesn't matter cause Quantum Break looks excellent. I think it has an opportunity to have some more interesting physics-based gameplay, but then again, The Order: 1886 has the whole soft-body physics aspect of the engine, so there's also that. Both will excel in showcasing each console. I think the main characters, atmosphere, and general background/lore of The Order are all more interesting and deeper than QB, but that's just me. I think the whole playing down The Order's gameplay is all tired out, since we've seen it and it looks great, as well as having won lots of awards at E3, and hands-on impressions being positive. The latest Quantum Break gameplay didn't really inspire me in the way in which I expected from the concept, but I don't think Remedy will release a game that is just a generic cover shooter.
but that Timeception tho! Stopping time when time is stopped!
Quantum Break ISN'T a Cover based shooter (It plays more like TLOU in terms of off wall gunplay mechanics) Quantum Break is about TIME MANIPULATION, all three PLAYABLE characters have different abilities that they use to manipulate time. It's important to note that at the end of each "Game Episode" you play as the Antagonist Paul, and can see different futures and make choices on how the game plays out and how the TV show plays out. Ready at Dawn is trying to make The Order deeper than it should be. By replacing full Werewolves with half breed Lycans. They're making bad choices that aren't even justified. The Order could blow us all away, but Quantum Break WILL.
You didn't get it. I ask not to call The Order "a generic boring movie" because the word "movie" applies more to QB.
Lets just hope QB does not drop the ball....
i have no reason to believe it will.
This was a joke... QB drop the ball... Quarter Back? o well.
The Manuscript pages that were found in Alans apartment weren't narrated by "Max Payne"...They were narrated by Thomas Zane (James Mccafrey) same voice actor for Max Payne played Alan Wakes father in the game.
Where does it say it wasn't Max Payne?
So that's why ol Maxy boy is so screwed up in the head.
Didn't Rock Star buy Max Payne IP?
I always though that those time froze, could have something to do with that moving objects and changes in Alan Wake
yeah but max Payne 3 was better in gore. I liked the gore in max Payne 3. Quantum Break when he shooted the guy not so much blood came out. Meaby beacuse hes body armor but hey gore is funny in games sometimes.
