The System Sellers: The Games That Made Their Systems Worth It

While gamers deliberate over what the elusive killer app could be for the recently released consoles—which are arguably drumming up the most excitement over their multi-platform titles so far—Complex has compiled a list of the first must-have games for each major home gaming platform from 1985 to the present.

The story is too old to be commented.

Tomb Raider was hot ish back in the day

But System Seller?

I feel like this is a stealth reaction to the MS Square deal

What MS/ Square deal? The timed exclusivity? Meh, those things never bothered me as I played other games in my backlog and when the game came out for my platform, well, then I knew if it was good or not.

I think fans have a right to be upset but I personally am not bothered. I'm more of an Uncharted fan than a Tomb Raider fan not that I didn't like the reboot though.

The author forgot FF7. Love it or hate it that game sold a lot of PS1.

But for me personally the biggest system seller is the MGS franchise. I bought a gamecube just to play Twin Snakes.

That's why find the Tomb Raider choice weird. Especially right after the MS, Square Tomb Raider deal

FF7
Crash
MGS

Too much higher profile games to say Tomb Raider was thee system seller
